James Marriott

On his instagram, James posted the liked image of him playing a Dragon Telecaster. Also, It remains in the background of videos he uploads to his youtube channel, and won't shut up about it.

James Marriott frequently uses the Fender FA-125CE Dreadnought in various videos across his social media platforms, where he demonstrates guitar tutorials and showcases his acoustic guitar skills. This is evident from the video featured on Pinterest.

The guitar is a custom shop Fender Stratocaster which has been reliced. He has named it "Thorn". It looks similar to the product linked but since it is a custom shop it is unique.

In an Instagram post, James Marriott is seen with a six-string Oil Can Guitar, a type of Cigar Box Guitar, featuring two PAF pickups.

In his twitch stream where he is seen to play music from time to time and do samples of audio, he is seen using the ShureSM7B. Not sure if he uses this microphone for the recording of his EP, as he mentions he does that in a studio, but he does use it to make demo tracks from his home studio.

In this tweet by James Marriott, he announces his upcoming album "Bitter Tongues" (which you should all pre-save on Spotify by the way) by playing a small part of it on what appears to be a Gibson Trini Lopez. He does not confirm this explicitly, but all visual aspects of the guitar match.

James Marriott owns a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Wine Red. He bought it second-hand for £800. Clearly a studio, due to the headstock (seen in the video). Appears to be from early 2000's.

See the youtube video above where James uses the Taylor 114-ce for a acoustic version of the song "Car Lights". I recently got the chance to talk to both Jono and James at the Dublin gig about his Taylor 114-CE. From what I was told by Jono, James had to get a second guitar for touring due to humidity damaging the first one (Taylors are notorious for this, get insurance folks). I believe in the video above James is playing the Walnut version of the guitar. The one used on tour is the Sapele (Taylor 114-CE S) version of the guitar. Having played the guitar it is a beautiful piece, perfect for any intermediate-advanced player with the standard and notorious Taylor neck which allows for great action along the fret board. I hope this helps anyone on the hunt for the same guitar.
