"For most of his life Jeff played exclusively Japanese squier strats with red single-coil Evans pickups. Later on Jeff had 2 custom-built Squier Vista strats with 3 Evans humbuckers (and later, Seymour Duncan SH-5) humbucking pickups in them and some pretty wild wiring that allowed him to coil-tap individual pickups one at a time."
