Justin Sane's Gear
In this picture, Justin Sane can be seen playing an ESP LTD EC-400. It's an earlier model from the early 2000's, (due to the sharper edge on the body of the guitar compared to newer 400/401 models), and has had its tone switch moved to the lower part of the body. The neck EMG stock pickup has been swapped for a custom pickup along with the stock tone nobs being traded out for custome ones. (The hole from the original tone switch has been covered by duct tape which was used to create the graffiti "no gods, no masters" on the guitar.)

In this video from the American Fall era, Justin can be seen playing a Fender Coronado II Semi-Hollowbody that he uses throughout these music videos. He also used the same guitar when creating the video for 'Brandenburg Gate', but never actually uses it live.

In this live performance Sane uses a customized LTD EC-50 Black Satin.
The EC-50 is the only model of the EC series, along with the EC-10, with dot inlays. Unlike Sane's guitar the EC-10 does not have its toggle switch above the neck ending. (The toggle switch of Sane's guitar has been relocated, nonetheless the mounting hole is still visible at the original switch location)
The pre-installed ESP pickups have been replaced with active EMG pickups.

According to Anti-Flag guitarist Justin Sane in this Guitar World interview, "My must-have effect pedal is the yellow Boss [Overdrive/Distortion OS-2] pedal. It’s a basic, old-school, meat-and-potatoes distortion pedal. When I’m going for a lead, I just crank it as much as I can."

According to Anti-Flag guitarist Justin Sane in this Guitar World interview, "I use a Marshall JCM 900 Lead with a 1960 cabinet. I’ve found that if I have a really hot-wired Marshall head I can play almost any guitar and get the sound I want."

In this picture from a 2005 performance, Justin Sane can be seen playing an ESP LTD EC-300 with a modified neck pickup and a different tone switch from the original model. The headstock has a version of the LTD logo that is exclusive to the 300 model of eclipse guitars, and the model of the guitar can be seen on the middle of the neck.

During this live performance, (and on the back cover of A New Kind Of Army), Justin Sane can be seen jumping on stage while holding a Gibson Melody Maker. The odd shaped headstock with the Gibson logo and specific placement of tone knobs confirms the fact that he's playing a Melody Maker.
