In this video, Kenny Wayne Shepherd talks about how he uses Erne Ball Cobalt strings. At the end of the videos, the Power Slinky 2720 set is shown:

Curiosity brought me to the Cobalt strings. I got my hands on several sets of them, put them on my guitars and I started using them in the live show immediately. And then my tech started telling me, by looking at the guitars and knowing how hard I am on strings and how often he normally has to change them we were both pretty impressed at the longevity of these strings. They seem a little bit louder to me then like a nickel wound string or even just a regular steel string and a little punchier. There's a little bit of graininess, grit to the wound strings which just makes me feel more in touch with the instrument. They're snappy man, they seem to have a little bit more output and if you're a guy that's spending your hard-earned cash on a regular basis and you want to really have strings that sound good but are gonna last you a long time the Cobalt is a really good option.

At 9:32 in this video, Kenny Wayne Shepherd talks about his Ibanez TS9.

This is one of the Analog Man modified Tube Screamer reissues. Now Mike used to take these, these are TS9 reissues, which has a different circuit to the TS808. I prefer the sound of the TS808. They did not used to reissue the TS808, so Mike would take the TS9s that they did reissue and he would rebuild them and basically modify them into a TS808 circuit. And he’d also do a couple of other things to make it a little more road worthy and rugged because a lot of my stuff gets put through the paces. It can go through some abuse on the road. A lot of my pedals were breaking down and Mike figured out a way to make this sucker road proof.

Is that a Mu-Tron Bi-Phase?!

Yeah! Yeah, exactly! It's actually Prince's, it's his pedal - well, the producer who produced my record is the guy that produced all of Prince's stuff, and "found" Prince and all that, and so he had this big Mu-Tron, it's like this big , you know , and he pulls this thing out, he says, "Here, try this", throws it on the ground, and I'm like, "What is THAT?" , you know, and he's like, "check it out!", so I did.

In this video with Music Radar, Kenny Wayne Shepherd discusses his TS808 Tube Screamer at 4:52.

This is my trusty original vintage Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer. This is one of the earliest production models of this pedal. I got it many many years ago and it’s been used on all of my records. I took it on the road with me for a long time until I met a guy by the name of Mike The Analog Man and he started modifying tube screamers for me to take out on the road and now I just leave this one at home.

At 4:00 in this video, Kenny Wayne Shepherd discusses his use of the Klon Centaur.

This pedal, I bought this pedal when I was like, I don’t know 16 or 17 years old. It was like a couple hundred bucks at the time. It’s called a Klon Centaur. Most of the gear heads out there will know exactly what this pedal is when they see it. They’ll be kinda bummed out to see that it’s in such rough condition, but you know I use all of my gear and it gets put through its paces on the road. This thing is basically a nice clean boost. Some people use it as their overdrive but I found that it’s a really great clean boost for your signal and you can use it in conjunction with other pedals to get a really great sound. These things are really rare. They don’t make them anymore and if you find them online they are going to be north of $1,000 so this is a really great pedal and I’m glad I got it when they first came out. It was a lot cheaper.
