Lenny Kravitz
Lenny Kravitz's Amplifiers
Kravitz used a Skylark during the recording of "Are you gonna go my way", according to this Guitar World interview.
"...But on that song [“Are You Gonna Go My Way”] in particular I used a Gibson Skylark, a little tiny amp that has the most brilliant sound. And the guitar was a Les Paul—not the Flying V that’s in the video. Oddly enough, I’ve never used a V in the studio, even though I’m so associated with that guitar."
Kravitz used Fender Tweed Deluxe amps for his dirty tones. These amps are not necessarily '57's.
In this NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video, Lenny Kravitz uses a Black Magick Reverb amplifier from Supro.
In this interview from Vintage guitar, Lenny Kravitz says this about his usage of AC-30's:
"How did your studio gear differ from the gear you use onstage?
It was completely different. We just go for a more of a basic thing onstage. I’m using a stack of newer Vox AC30s right now and that’s really it."
In this interview for Guitar Center, Lenny Kravitz says, "I'm pretty much a Fender and Marshall guy. A lot Fender Deluxes, those are my favorites--the tweed models. I use Pro reverb and Twin reverb amps."

In Lenny Kravitz’ 2001 interview in the Howard Stern show, he can (surprisingly) be seen playing a Line6 Flextone amplifier. Of all the vintage gear he owns, he chose that to bring to the studio. The amp can be seen clearly throughout most of the “Let Love Rule” birthday video as well as other videos of the same session (he did other songs, see below). Best shots of the amp: 0:33’-0:37’, 1:20’-1:23’, 2:07’-2:13’ (clearly in the background of bass closeup), 3:23 (background) , 3:25’ (overview shot), 3:48’-3:52’ (pan), 4:20’-4:22’, 4:47+ (several shots). Other songs performed with same amp: https://youtu.be/MasrXmEn1Zo (Are You Gonna Go My Way), https://youtu.be/w4gFbXFEU5s (Again).
