Mark Sandman uses a glass slide throughout many, if not most of his songs. This contributed to their iconic style and unique sound that set them apart from other bands at the time. Most of the time I see him with it on his pinky.

Mark Sandman was widely known to use a vintage Premier Multivox Scroll bass that he further modified into a two-string slide bass / "basitar" for use in his project Morphine. After removing the original pickups, a single precision bass-style pickup was split and placed in the neck and bridge positions.
