During the ADE Masterclass 2017, Martin Garrix mentions at 32:02 that he feels inspired and eager to create something new using a plugin he loves, the IK Multimedia Sonik Synth 2. He hints that he might have discovered it through fellow artist Jay Hardway, who also uses this synth plugin.

“Well, I’ve always loved Serum — I’m not sure if that came out this year but it’s a great plug-in. And of course, I love the new FL Studio!”
