Matt O'Keefe's Gear
During The Orwells' Spring Terrible Human Beings Tour in 2017, Matt O'Keefe used a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb as his primary amplifier, as seen in their May 20 performance in Pittsburgh on YouTube.
Also used by Matt when I saw The Orwells at Scala, London (7/3/2017), however it's more visible in this clip. Used interchangbly with the Fender amp throughout all album tours, 2013-present.
Only guitar used throughout the "Disgraceland' tour from 2014-2015, used for most of the pervious tour in support of debut album 'Remember When' (2012-2013). Most all videos and pictures of Matt playing at The Orwells' live shows from this period will have him with this guitar.
Matt O'Keefe frequently uses the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi pedal during live performances, as seen in the official live video for The Orwells' "Who Needs You" on YouTube by Songkick.
Matt broke one of his big muffs before a show at the Rex Theater in Pittsburgh PA, on May 20th, 2017. He purchased a EHX Soul Food to replace it at Pittsburgh Guitars on East Carson Street.
Matt O'Keefe used an Eastwood Airline Twin Tone during live performances from the "Remember When" era, as seen in The Orwells' 2012 live session on YouTube. This guitar was primarily used before he transitioned to a Gretsch Double Jet.
Used as Matt's reverb, along with the reverb from his Deluxe reverb.
