"I use two Lazy J J20 amps most of the time so I use this to split the audio from my guitar in two so I can play both amps at the same time. A very transparent pedal." - Nalle Colt.
"I try to use mostly the straight sound from the Lazy J amps without any pedals. If there was one pedal I could not be without it would be the ZenDrive that helps put the sound over the top for a really grimy tone that I like for solos." - Nalle Colt.
In the video, Nalle is seen playing this guitar at Dutch music festival 'Pinkpop'.
Although he used the house Vox and Marshall and plug-ins during the band’s recent studio stint, on the road his set-up still features his trusty Lazy J 20 combo along with a vintage Fender Vibratone cab driven by a Fender Tone-Master head and a 50-watt Plexi clone that has to point off-stage to keep the on stage volume levels manageable.
"I use this one for solos and when I really want to stand out." - Nalle Colt.
"I only use this in the studio. It’s an all-original one that I had since I was a little kid. Love the sound of it but I don’t bring it on the road. Got the cool Stevie Ray Vaughan sound to it." - Nalle Colt.
"You play a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Why does that guitar work so well in Vintage Trouble? I grew up being a Fender guy. I was into Strats and Hendrix and Rory Gallagher; I never played Les Pauls. It’s a hard guitar to play. I bought one six years ago and couldn’t play it – didn’t sound right. So I put it in the closet. But once we started working on the early demos for the first couple of songs, I thought it would be really cool with a Les Paul and a tweed amp, so I brought it out of the closet. I really liked it and I started playing it all the time and I couldn’t stop."
In this photo, which comes from Colt's guitar.com interview, one of the pedals that can be seen in his pedalboard is the Boss DD-500.
"love the size of this pedal—super small. Sounds like the old UniVibe, a la Hendrix’s 'Machine Gun.' I use it for the solo in 'Run Outta You.'" - Nalle Colt.
"I use this one when I can’t crank my Lazy J amps up enough, to get a little more breakup sound. Pushes the volume really hard into the amp. A plus is that I can push a little more treble or bass into it too." - Nalle Colt.
In this photo, which comes from Colt's guitar.com interview, one of the items that can be seen in his pedalboard is the Boss ES-8 switching system.
"Always wanted an easy slap back echo that sounds like the old tape delays. This is doing the trick for me. I have it with the memory pedal next to it so I can switch to a longer delay for solos etc. Love that one!" - Nalle Colt.
"Just powers all the pedals so I don’t have to use batteries for them" - Nalle Colt.

“What an amazing little pedal! Big thanks to Danny Gomez at Orange Amplifiers for setting me up with this little genius box. With the major advancements of digital plugins this is the gateway to marry new and old together in a super simple way.”
