Paul McCartney's Gear
In the picture you can see Paul McCartney with his Custom Rickenbacker 5 String Bass.
January 2015 Paul McCartney with his Atkin J45. Peter Bradley Junior of The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation travelled to Buddy's home town of Lubbock Texas to present Paul with one of our Handmade custom guitars.
Buddy's widow Maria Elena Holly was also there for this historic occasion. This was the first time Paul had played in Lubbock.
At 1:00 you can see the pedal on Paul's pedal
Mentioned by producer Al Schmitt in this June 5, 2015 VoiceCouncil Magazine interview.
"The U47 – that’s the one I used on Bublé, Paul McCartney and so many others. (...) For Diana Krall and Paul McCartney (and others) I used a Neumann Tube U47 into Neve Preamp and then into a Fairchild compressor. That, to me, is the ultimate."
The U47 was also used for the group vocals on The Beatles, as is visible in this photo from this June 2012 Sound on Sound article.

Another Neumann U47, also used for group vocals with The Beatles, is visible in this other photo.
In the picture you can see Paul McCartney using the white Cello wich was shown in the Blue Jay Way music video ( http://uploadsociety.com/video_v184759 Minute 2:14).
In an article by Audified, Sir Paul McCartney is noted for using the Audified U73b Compressor in his mix.
The instrument can be seen in the Spies Like Us music video at 1:09.
He can be seen holding it in the "Again And Again And Again" music video from 1979.
In a 1979 photo from BlogSpot, Paul McCartney is seen in the studio with a Roland Jupiter-4 synthesizer. However, in this specific image, he is actually playing a Yamaha CS-80.
Used on the song "Temporary Secretary". It can be seen in the background of this photo, taken in 2016.
In the YouTube video "Paul McCartney teaches bass" by Rickdd2, Paul McCartney is shown using an Ashdown Engineering Cabinet while working in the studio.

At around 26:16 in this video you can see Paul McCartney playing a Washboard.
Used for the bass and organ on The Beatles, as mentioned by sound engineer Ken Scott in this June 2012 Sound on Sound interview.
"In addition to Paul's bass being DI'd, the cabinet probably would have been miked with a 4038, [Neumann] U67 or [AKG] C12. I would have used two 4038s on the organ, 67s on John and George's guitars, and it could have been anything on George's vocal.”
It can partially be seen in this photo from the 1979 McCartney II recording sessions. You can also see it in this video from 2008, although it's unknown whether this is the same exact keyboard from the 1979 photo or not.
Another photo dating from the 1979 “McCartney II” recording sessions. Roland CR-78 at the top right.
In this youtube video you can see boss tuner on Paul's Ashdown apm
In the video (e.g. in 1:21) you can see a beige Wurlitzer in Paul McCartney's studio. You can also see Paul sitting in front of this Keyboard in 44:00 in his Something NEW (Full Documentary) 2014 video.
Used for the bass on The Beatles, as mentioned by sound engineer Ken Scott in this June 2012 Sound on Sound interview.

The solution was to take a left and right from a Kurzweil MicroPiano that is triggered via MIDI from McCartney’s onstage Yamaha piano?
Linda actually came up with some parts on her own — the entire backing vocals on ‘Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey’ consists of the two of them — but when she needed a hand, Paul was great with her. We used a combination of U87s — if we were working on something smooth — and Shure SM57s for the rockier stuff throughout the album. Paul didn’t care what mic you put on him, although he did like the U87. He’s such a great singer.
