I’ve used the Boss since the 70s. When I was playing the Roland 505 guitar, I used to put it first in the chain, because it loaded the signal in a way that seemed to work with my other pedals and amp. Eventually, I started using other guitars and found that it didn’t work well in the chain with them, so I would just hook it up to the tuner out on the volume control pedal.more
Jennifer Young, longtime bassist of Prog-Rock Instrumental group "Travis Larson Band", posted a photo she took onto her instagram which shows some of the pedals she uses. From left to right, the photo displays a Digitech JML2 JamMan Stereo Looper and Phrase Sampler Guitar Effects Pedal, a DigiTech BP355 Bass Multi Effects Pedal with USB, and finally a Boss TU-12H Tuner.more
At first, I was skeptical about using the Boss TU-12H because every other guitarist I knew was using more modern-looking tuners like the Polytune, or other, newer Boss tuners. Fortunately, the TU-12H, despite its awkward fit on my pedalboard, has been extremely reliable, very responsive to every note played, and is never hard to read.
