In the picture you can see Paul McCartney with an upright bass.
In this photo we can clearly see Sir Paul using blue Dunlop "Straploks".
Seen on Paul's desk with a Peterson 450 tuner and a Boss TU-12EX
Paul McCartney's Peterson Strobe Tuner R450 is featured on his desk, as seen in the Hog Hill Mill Blog's "Amplifiers & Pedals" section.
Specified on Keith Smith's official Peterson artist page.
Keith Smith has been Paul McCartney's instrument technician since the 1980s and is the custodian of such iconic instruments as Paul's 1962 Hofner 500/1 bass played on so many Beatles, Wings & solo hit records and his 1964 Epiphone Texan acoustic guitar ("Yesterday" was recorded on it).
These most precious artefacts of classic rock music are tuned both live and in the studio with a Peterson tuner. Keith uses an AutoStrobe 590, and there are several long-serving Peterson Model 450 strobe tuners in the McCartney gear arsenal.
McCartney is seen playing George Harrison's Fender Rosewood Telecaster upside during the Get Back/Let It Be recording sessions along with keyboardist Billy Preston on a Fender Bass VI.
