Paz Lenchantin's Gear
You can see Paz using this beautiful Fender 69 P-bass in this pic. She also uses it in most of her projects, including A Perfect Circle's video "Judith".
In the video, Paz is playing this worn out Fender on Oakland, 9/29/2010.
According to the Premier Guitar's article, Lenchantin uses the Pro Co RAT Distortion Pedal.
From the article: https://bassmagazine.com/artists/paz-lenchantin-floating-on-pixie-dust Paz says “I used a SansAmp with A Perfect Circle, but I used a different Precision Bass back then, and it wasn’t my baby. It was an active bass, and it just wasn’t my vibe. When I finally found my bass, it was a natural thing for me. I don’t have to do much to it. But you can also diffuse what it can do if you put it through the wrong [signal chains]. There are really two elements that enhanced that bass’ sound, and that’s the SansAmp DI and my Ampeg.”
In an interview with Bass Player Magazine, the interviewer quotes Paz as using an Ampeg SVT head through an 8x10" cab.
From the Luna page: "Paz was presented with the prototype at the 2008 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA and has been playing it with her band Entrance."
According to Premier Guitar's article, Lenchantin uses Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Bass Strings.
Quote from the interview: "Gear-wise, Paz keeps it simple – a 1970 Precision that she’s been playing for 15 years, generally with an Ampeg SVT through an 8×10” and with a Taurus Moog pedal, which is used only on ‘Bag Boy’ and ‘Silver Snails’ from the new Pixies album Indie Cindy. On smaller stages, Paz uses the Mesa Boogie 15” Walkabout combo.
At 2:01, you can clearly identify the bass amp being used by Paz.
From the interview: “It has an awesome DI, is easy to carry around for smaller shows – it’s super, super light and sounds great. People always say it sounds great but they can hardly see anything on stage. I love, love, love that amp,” she smiles.
According to Premier Guitar's article, Lenchantin uses Dunlop Tortex 1.0mm standard guitar picks.
