"Buddy Guy has always been a favorite of mine and I used to listen to him when I was a kid. When I was 12 years old I was reading one of those catalogs Fender used to send out- the 'Frontline', and in it I saw a Buddy Guy signature stratocaster and I just had to have it. I begged my parents to buy it for me and they eventually did. I remember calling every music store in the tri-county area, and only one store had it. I remember that drive up there, I was so excited. I finally got to the store and I saw it on the display rack, it was the last one they had. I ran over to it and when I picked it up and held it in my hand I knew I had to have it. Sometimes when you pick up a guitar, even without playing it, you've fallen in love with it, and you already know that it's that special one that you're gonna play every night. Without playing it I fell in love with it and I have played that guitar every single night since then. I changed the pickups to lace sensors and that's been my main axe. Buddy himself held my guitar backstage one night and ever since then, every time I get onstage and play, Buddy's licks just flow out of that guitar. It's that guitar that I'ma probably get buried with."
"I purchased this guitar because it had a great sound for Funk rhythm. But the cool thing about it, is that it has this cool bell-like ringing sound that has this edge if you pick next to the bridge and it gives me a great sound especially for my Bluesy stuff. I played the solo to 'Dip My Dipper' using this guitar clean through a 'Line 6 Spider II' crunch channel and people always gave me positive comments on the tone! I left everything stock because it sounds great just the way it is. When I plugged it in at the guitar store to try it out, I fell in love with it. Very comfortable to play. Not to mention it's not that expensive!"

"In the studio, I ONLY use the Fostex RP series headphones. My particular favorite is the T50. I still have the original pair I bought back in the day... and I still use it every day in the studio."
"There is a handful of microphones that I will ever use in a recording studio. The U87 is one of my go-to mic's for vocals. The U87, the U47 and the Sterling ST77 are my favorite microphones and more often than not, for my own vocals, either a U87 or the ST77 will be used."

"The Joe Meek VC3 is a mainstay in my studio- it gives me a fat, beefy tone that I haven't been able to find from any other preamp yet."
