In The Midnight's March 3rd, 2021 Twitch.tv Stream called ''Tim is breaking down Neon Medusa'' Tim explains why he uses Fabfilter's Pro-Q 3 plugin to make the intro for Neon Medusa sound less muddy or sharp. He also discusses on why he adds or cuts out high or low frequencies that won't help the song alongside with how he will gain stage i.e. in this demonstration use the Output Level knob on Fabfilter's Pro-Q 3 so that when he uses other EQ Plugins or a Compression Plugin it won't affect them in the process shown at 14:29 into the stream.

He says that he uses it on the bass to add some higher frequencies to it but how he wishes the plugin had the ability to low-cut frequencies which apparently it doesn't. But, he does say that he will use the plugin to cut out frequencies sometimes as well.

He uses Boz Digital Labs' Plus 10db Compressor as he explains in the stream to tighten the attack on the synth from u-he's DIVA on the track.

He uses The Hoser to take out muddy low frequencies in the track.

He shows how he cranked up the saturation on the plugin and discusses how he thinks the plugin is not great for drums but how it is good for vocals, synths, guitars etc. He says it adds ''Harmonic Saturation'' and ''Breathes life'' into anything you use it on.
