Wes Borland
Wes Borland's Guitars
Wes uses this guitar for most notably Nookie and a couple other songs in the Limp Bizkit discography such as Sour and Stalemate, although it is 4 strings many fans classify this instrument as a modified guitar because of its scale length, many say it was custom made for him others say he took an ibanez model guitar and put a thin neck on it and filled the middle tuner holes. It is tuned to F#, F# (higher octave), B, E

Beautiful guitar.
In this article with Paul Reed Smith, Wes says the following about his custom PRS four string hybrid:
The new four string is probably the most amazing instrument I’ve ever played. Having a locking tremolo system has very much expanded what I’m attempting with that whole thing. That idea. To have the classic A A D G or F# F# B E tuning that I’ve been using for so long paired with all of the whammy bar riffing I do is on another level for me. The guitar is way past prototype in my opinion. I think it’s finally reached the form it was always wanting to be in my head. I couldn’t be happier with it. It actually did end up on the album last minute, but not in a way that showed off its capabilities. I used it on a melodic EBow lead on the bridge of the INXS cover Don’t Change.

In an Instagram post, Wes Borland showcases his Höfner 176 Galaxie Deluxe Sunburst, highlighting its impeccable tone.
At 18:29, he says, "This is a great Tele. I think it's probably a '78-ish... '79-.... don't quote me on that. But, umm, man, somebody was chicken-pickin' on this a lot. This looks like a Nashville player had this for a long time, but this was bought for the studio of a record company that I was briefly working with on a solo project, and they shut the studio down. I said, 'I really want that Tele.' It's a great guitar. I used it live in Black Light Burns and to record a bunch of BlackLlight Burns material with."

In this YouTube video at 3:19, 8:31, Wes can be seen using a previously black sanded 7 string Ibanez type guitar with green inlays and HSH pickups that used to be green. The bridge is a Lo Pro Edge 7. Judging by overall layout of the knobs, switches, and pickguard holes, I determine that this is an Ibanez UV7. The pickguard was removed and cut, and an extra switch was added between the volume knobs (top hats are missing). An extra piece of a pearl pickguard was added between the pickups.
Wes Borland, guitarist for Limp Bizkit, famously used a modified Ibanez Musician MC150PW, initially a 6-string guitar, later modified to accommodate only four strings. This guitar was notably used on songs like "Nookie", "Full Nelson", and "The One". It was one of his main instruments during the early days of Limp Bizkit, alongside Ibanez Universe 7-string guitars. Here's a more detailed breakdown
The MC150PW
This model was originally a 6-string guitar, but Borland had it modified to have only four strings.
Why four strings?
Borland preferred the sound and feel of a four-string guitar, particularly for the heavier, lower tunings he often used.
Other guitars
While he used the MC150PW for many early Limp Bizkit songs, he also used Ibanez Universe 7-string guitars, especially during the recording of their first two albums.
Beyond Ibanez Later in his career, Borland transitioned to custom-made guitars, including four-string instruments built by Latvian luthier George Gorodnitski, and also started using PRS guitars.
