Heavy, sweet and clear

I wanted to build a guitar for MDM in C-standard. So I swapped emg 81 85 to fishman fluence. But I wasn't pleased with the sound and again I've started searching for new (but at this time passive) pickups. After a week of searching I've ordered this pickups set and with a happy smile on my face started soldering them in. That was IT. The sound I've just imagined in my head. Not a fan of ceramic magnets. But in this pickups if you don't know about ceramic you wouldn't even think they are. Pretty neutral EQ. Warm high-end and very-very clear sound even with a tons of gain. If you are looking to something AlNiCo-5-ish high output pickup - you can try D Activator.

Remember, this is totally subjective

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Peavey 6505 or EVH 5150 with ts/808 (zero drive - full volume) infront and Greenbacks 25 speakers - and I am flying in clouds.

Solid work station

Technologies became better and I became older. After several years of collecting pedals and making a descent pedalboard I finally gave up on practicallity. This processor can save your back, your nerves and your wallet. It is compact and light but doesn't feel sloppy. With this device you can come to any concert venue and play with YOUR sound. It is very fast to plug-in and go away after the show (especially usefull when artists come one after another in a short time). NO MORE PHOTOS OF YOUR AMP SETTINGS DURING THE SOUND CHECK! (if you use playing in line). I don't even regret selling my expensive boutique pedals. Ofc pedals are very fun and probably if I just play in one band only in one place - I would stay with pedalboard. But even in this scenario I would probably buy a processor to be a part of my gear for different situations. Why it is 4 and not 5 stars? Almost every Pod GO user knows about little hack-trick. First of all, thank you, Line 6, for this (not afraid of this word) amazing product, but please, make this hack-trick into a feature.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I always use LowCUT/HighCUT EQ in the end of the chain. It helps to reduce mud and high peaks. Also a cool thing is when you have snapshots with different delay settings and you jump between snapshots - it makes interesting dwelling/shimmer effect.

This is so old that I like it :)

The quest began with the fact that I was looking for a power supply unit. You need to buy a power supply with a minus in the center! 1200mAh is optional. The pedal actually consumes about 350 - 500. I bought a 9V 1000 mAh, that's enough.

I heard this pedal for the first time on Buckethead's records. I postponed the acquisition for a long time, but in the end, the desire to have fun won out common sense. This pedal is over 20 years old! But it tears and flies. If you want to add variety to your sound, this is it. Personally, I plan to use it for intro at concerts using the Attack Synth effect. Also, the rest of the effects fit very well into small fragments of songs. The pedal isn't perfect for 2021. It is heavy, large and poorly read low frequencies, which is why sound is often lost. But damn, it warms my soul. And great musicians still keep it in pedalboards.

My favorite EHX pedal

I was looking for low-mid gain pedal and stopped at Klon. But a real Klon is more about memes) So I started looking for cheaper clones. This pedal is awesome! Yes, I don't have it anymore, but I can highly recommend it. Soul Food boosts a little when gain knob is about 9 o'clock so it makes your clean sound fuller. But when you turn the gain more and more you can easily nail the solo with a sweet sound. Thank you, EHX!

Good 8-string guitar but needs improvements

When I was a student I fell in love with Animals as leaders' music. I've dreamed about 8string guitar. 7 years passed and I also became a fan of Meshuggah. That is where my 8-string dream became a reality. I've bought used RGA8 with EMG 808 already installed. Stoke pickups were strange decision from Ibanez, you really should change them and your instrument become a true metal-machine. Also, the bridge of this guitar is strange too. But still, RGA8 is a solid and not so expensive 8-string guitar. It will make its work.

I love Buckethead :)

When I first saw this guitar, I thought that this is the kind of superstrat Buckethead would want for himself :) But looks are not the only thing that holds this guitar in place. Low weight, excellent ergonomics, high quality components and electronics! And great sound. I use it all the time on recordings. Moreover, it can give out excellent clear sound. The only thing to get used to is pickup switching. I am seriously thinking in the future to collect these wonderful guitars in different colors: black, red and blue.

Fits perfectly in mix

A lot of sounds. Flexible settings. My favorite mods are Spring and Halo.

Simple at first look, but there are plenty of sounds

Just a great delay. I missed tap tempo on my flashback very much, so I decided to change it to something more convenient. The choice fell on this pink sequined baby. Be sure that you will attract the attention of women (if, of course, you decide to let them come to your pedalboard :)). I like the "MOD 2" mode very much. Creates a great ambient sound.

I've Chosen this pedal against Soul Food...

... and did not regret it. Soul Food is great pedal!!!! And it costs so little! I've used it a lot. But when I've bought JHS Morning Glory v4 I'd decided that I want that warm feel in my chest that I've got the "boutique" sound :) But that doesn't negate the fact that Archer is a gorgeous pedal. I use it more as a high gain overdrive after Morning Glory. I turn it on on all sorts of lingering solos and when I need to maximize the sound, but not turn it into a shredding meat grinder. And this is precisely where the Archer distinguishes itself over Soul Food.

The most flexible settings and excellent sound!

I don't use tremolo pedals very often. I chose for a long time and decided to try a local manufacturer. For a small price, the pedal offers a bunch of possibilities: - tap tempo - 16 wave options - adjustment of the wavelength - flexible tremolo settings Also, the pedal does not degrade the sound, which did not suit me in the mooer pedals.

It fits everywhere!

Before, I used the full size version of CryBaby. But the place on the pedalboard is not limitless, and my back was not grateful. So I decided to take this baby, a mini-version of the usual CryBaby. I am absolutely satisfied. It is convenient to play while standing at concerts and rehearsals. The only thing that can cause discomfort is to play with it while sitting, because there is nowhere to put your heel. But you can get used to it.

I am totally happy

Finally I have found this tone :) I have it always ON. In pair with my Soul Food this pedal gives me 3 cascades of overdrive (even distortion). But with this pedal you might think your pedalboard should become more "boutique". I've tried Archer and Soul Food. Both of them works great with Morning Glory.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Volume - optional Gain - 10 o'clock Tone - 13 o'clock

and Soul Food with Gain level on 15 o'clock

Amazing stratocaster

I was searching for a classical stratocaster. Thought about, ofc, Fender. But one day local guitarstore sent me a message that there was a big sale. So, I've bought this guitar and was very impressed. The first thing you notice is quality. Quality is all about this guitar. I have no regrets of getting it. It has Seymour Duncan pickups and Gotoh furniture.

Very flexible

This thing has a big range of different presets of compressor settings. You can even make your own! I always use it on clean sound.

stravoxid

I am very surprised

This little box has balls. Tone knob has a very wide range.

Great, well- designed and assembled guitar

Wow, I've heard this guitar is one of the best 7-string guitar on the current market for its price, but I couldn't even imagine it would be so great! NT construction and the wood specs with 2 EMG's makes exactly what I need from a 7-string metal-producing machine.

stravoxid

Light and even bright guitar

I love the shape and feel. Having tried different pickups but stopped at stock 490+490. IMO this setup fits this guitar the best.

stravoxid

Very helpful

This preamp is very good, you will always have your own sound wherever you play.

stravoxid

Well... It's ok.

I hear this is not an analog pedal. But I like its 8dotted mode

stravoxid

Very expensive sound

This red box helps your amps' tubes to make a huge ocean of tiny little tones. Really very saturated sound from clean boost to heavy meat.
