Boardshorts weather! Great for kickin back with a few friends and a few instruments and maybe a few beers with the BBQ blazing. I don't even know where I left my jacket and cannot recall when I wore it last...

Oi, it's not my fault we grew up in disgustingly sunny and pleasant weather all year round.
I'd rather we have some actual rain around here...
If we don't sit and have coffee here at least once a fortnight, we feel sad and cheated.

Awww c'mon Jim... come and play with us!
Surely you played music at SOME point because you liked it... and then something came along that changed the way you smiled, changed the way you tilted your head when a particular instrument poked out from the mix just enough to get you excited??? No one song that when you heard it for the first time, you had to rewind, replay and work out what it was about it that made you pause in the first place? I am not trying to tie anyone down to a style, I want to slide a couple of fingers in and find out what it is that makes people love what they do... what it is that fills your heart and gets you so damn proud of the stuff you have created that you just want to share it with the world... we learn through experience and our experiences shape us! Why do we all not share our experiences and all have opportunities and new avenues, doors and windows open before us so we can make our own creations breathe with new life? Breathe it in!

How did you come to be where you are now musically? Who were your influences and how did you spread your wings and take your steps that helped shape the Musician/ Producer/ Artist you are today? Have you stayed within a genre, or have you followed paths that have either focussed and fine tuned, or expanded and diversified your passion in your field?

Akai mpc 1000, also the colour scheme on the barcode logo fit Malekko matches a phaser. The Hagstrom/ guild may find itself more in the Teisco stables, with retro cheap being the new hot thing.

The tele is a Fender with a custom paint job. That guitar is known as (or is referred to as) Mercury or "the Mercury" on her FB page... possibly relating to the song, or perhaps the commenters followed that thought process in the picture she is leaning against the car.... which seems like a more logical Mercury, based on lyrics.

Create sections on your equipboard?
Could this be done as simply as Generic images you could call something catchy like "Equipbojis", kinda like what they have on the reverb phone app (as seen on Reverb.com) that we as users can search for the just says: guitars with a black/ white/ orange (dang, the colour scheme on this page matches reverb phone app)...image and font that goes in front of our guitars, then another for Bass, effects, amps, keys and synths, plug-ins; Studio gear etc? Image of that here: http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/u21y8dVg7hqLrtnWd5oVMAWXEttfOiTZ9WQOMqt7f5uMk7Ki1cIj1f6n2618LpRfFQ=h310
This way, none of our boards need to be resourced/ reloaded, we just source these, drop and shuffle our boards until the equipbojis are at the start of our personal collections of each type of musical device. You could even do a FORUMS > GENERAL > EQUIPBOJIS (CATEGORY SYMBOLS) forum post of your EQUIPBOJIs so we can see what they look like and what they are called to source them.

Precisely why I posted it. Many people on the pages are getting established in music and hearing this lets them get (With a reference they can compare to) that you can't just shove it in dry. It needs to be wet to get the movement and let it slide right in to the mix. Yes, it sounds sexual. A good mix is the difference between passion and molestation.

Gonna throw another isolated track on here... just to let people appreciate the behind the scenes efforts that sound engineers go to, just to make a good song great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNLahMKS1ug

Nostalgia. an incredible thing. I wrote a song within minutes of first hearing "Teen spirit" explode across the radio... The song was called Awaiting Yesterday and it spoke of wanting to go back in time to have that moment of first hearing the song explode through the radio again. I remember hearing the song and heading in, picking up the guitar and writing, stopping only when my friend came over. I played it to her and while impressed, I don't think she got it at the same level. I still see that day in my head, the memory as clear as if I was still standing there, although in my memory there was a wardrobe in the loungeroom...
Although cliché, The way teen spirit hit the world was a moment of opportunity. I had played in many bands before this, doing standards and covers, nothing too exciting.. there wasn't a market for original music that captured the crowd imagination. With the release that became Nevermind, doors were thrown open with enough force to break the hinges off and let any creativitiy that was ever harboured just explode. I could name a thousand other songs that bear relevance, but this needs to be acknowledged. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7ZyrTyyH2Y

Wow way to hammer home that I was 22 and wondering why such a thin sound came out of such a HUGE acoustic.

From that I heard: purple, swollen, stiff and seeing stars and was left thinking that maybe the porch wasn't the best place for that kind of thing. But then, nothing else quite screams out "Get off my land!!!..."

Well seeing that my OP request for someone IT to give us a chat feature has turned into a request for online gaming, can someone please do this that has the savvy.... Using the Pokemon Go! Engine, can someone please give us Pedalboard Go!? You walk around and pedals pop up at locations. To catch them, you have to throw patch cables at them. Pedal stops are ebay sites, where you get random things like more patch cables, 9volts and wall warts to help evolutions and switchers that allow you to prepare combos for venue battles to reduce screen Tap dancing. Instead of gyms, you have venues and you pit your signal chain against others, tapping pedals on and off to songs played with a dry signal instrument similar to guitar hero kind of thing. And instead of choosing a team, you choose a genre so that you know what is playing in the venues before you walk in. When you first start, you mostly find behringer, Harley Benton/joyo and metal zones. Collect 100 metal zones and it can be evolved to a ts8 etc etc....

Nope. Gone for a reason. Be they lost, stolen, sold, traded or just plain and simple not mine anymore, it is because when they left, I had no need for them and my efforts (if any) to replace them were done in the evolution of what has come to be on my board today. So I tip my hat at the forgotten ones. Remembered but not immortalised.

As its species and genus decrees, the black rat (rattus rattus) is named twice for twice as much fun. So yes, even the Latins (the folk of Latium) knew this...

(Smelling potential gear IQ points) So... does this WIFE have an Equipboard page???
9yover 9 years ago
So where do we stand as a collectiv on listing gear you owned and had stolen? Not sold or traded because you chose to do without that. But removed from your possession.

Sometimes gear decides it is time to go long before you are finished with it…

Could this 'flashback feature' be as simple as a small selectable cross near the 5 star ratings system that you check from your edit screen on your equipboard... marking not as deceased, but as gear "no longer with us"?

Did a quick google search
But even posting that...I have no idea what is going on, or how it will help you.

check that email before you stop netting.. I am still undecided between Yamaha HS5 and the Fluid Fader F5. Both get me excited but don't have $900 for both pairs.

Bubble burst approaching!!!! $250 Australian gets some pretty ordinary monitors KRK Rokit 5 $215 for 1 and $415 for a pair... and that is this month. $250 scores you Behringer Studio 50 pair or MS40 pair, or some fluid f4's or C5W's.... nothing remarkable. Prices change and that will date your infographic pretty quickly. Choosing headphones... close back, open back, half open, all serve various purposes.... open or semi for monitoring and mixing over long sessions for less ear fatigue, closed for isolation work where zero sound bleed is optimal... then monitors need to consider positioning in a room... rear or front firing bass ports, what kind of bass response (KRK are a notoriously bass thick monitor more suited to electronica, where guitar work lends more to something much flatter.
The concept is worthwhile, but needs to be more targeted, making it more diverse, while being less focussed on price.

Ahh... err... urgh... The Rainbow Machine!!!! This will be the pedal people cringe at the recollection of anyone ever mentions EQD. I am sure in a few years they will be recognised across the board as innovators of their craft. I am kinda glad to see that someone has tried one. This being said, I would never buy a flanger or phaser based on online reviews. Used in moderation, modulation is delicious. Just because something has a dial, doesn't mean you need to dime it!. A swirl or a warble enhance a song, a spasmodic seizure inducing staccato centrifugal pulse struggles to find a place in a song. A silent nod to the lower parameters of the new breed of pedals!

Surprised nobody has offered Avalanche Run. Impressive and NEVER see them 2nd hand. A pedal people aren't getting rid of.
Here's a write up:
Product Description The Avalanche Run was developed with one goal in mind: to take the floating ambient tones of our Dispatch Master to the next level while still keeping it user friendly and refined. Taking you into the aural exploratorium without having to break open the user manual every time you want to open up your inner eye and get free is no easy task. We are using a high powered proprietary DSP platform to recreate all the characteristics of all our old favorite delay and reverb machines while still retaining a simple, yet flexible workspace. It has been a long time coming but well worth the wait! Enough bullshit, let’s talk about the damn pedal!
The Avalanche Run is a dreamy sonic discovery device with up to 2 seconds of delay time and a lush reverb. It features complete control over delay time, repeats, mix and voice (with the tone control), as well as control over the reverb length and mix. It can run in one of 3 different modes: Normal, Reverse and Swell. In “Normal” mode, the Avalanche Run functions as a straightforward delay and reverb. In “Reverse” mode, the delay line is in reverse and the reverb remains in normal mode. In “Swell” mode, the Avalanche Run reacts to your picking dynamics and adds a volume swell to the entire signal path much like manually raising and lowering the volume of your guitar.
The Avalanche Run features an expression jack that can be assigned to one of six different controls using the “EXP” selector switch. It also features Tap Tempo with six different ratios accessed via the “Ratio” selector switch. The Avalanche Run can also be run in “True Bypass” mode or “Buffered Bypass” mode for trails and features 5 different tail lengths including “Infinite” for lo-fi and continuously degrading pseudo-looping.
The Tap switch also has a few other cool secondary functions. While in Normal and Swell mode, you can send the Avalanche Run into self-oscillation by holding down the “Tap” footswitch. In Reverse, mode holding down the Tap switch will flip the delay back into Normal mode and return to Reverse mode once released!
Each and every Avalanche Run is completely assembled, wired and tested by total human beans in the tiny tundra town of Akron, Ohio.
Controls
Top Row Time- This controls the delay time and goes from 0ms to just under 2000ms. Repeats- Controls the regeneration of the delay, from zero repeats to near infinite. Tone- Controls the tone for the delay line only. Roll off highs to the left, roll off lows to the right and get a flat response in the middle.
Mix- The is the volume control for the delay line. This blends in the wet with dry until 1 o’clock, 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock boosts the wet signal over the dry and 3 o’clock up brings down dry until it is fully wet when all the way up.
Bottom Row Expression Jack Assign Switch- Use this switch to map the expression jack to one of the assigned controls.
• Decay- Controls the reverb decay length
• R Mix- Controls the reverb mix
• Time- This takes over for the delay time control and is DRASTICALLY different than the interface control. Using the expression pedal to control the time will give you all kinds of wild effects that can not be achieved by turning the knob.
• Repeats- Controls the delay repeats
• D Mix- Controls the delay mix
• Toggle- This takes over for the toggle switch and will cross fade from forward delay in heel down position to reversedelay in toe down position.
Decay- Controls the decay length of the reverb, short decay counterclockwise, long cavernous decay clockwise.
Mix- This is the volume control for the reverb. Blends in the wet with dry until 1 O’clock, 1 O’clock to 3 O’clock boosts the wet signal over the dry and 3 O’clock up brings down dry until it is fully wet when all the way up.
Ratio Selector Switch- Selects delay subdivisions when time is set by the “Tap” switch.
• 1/1- Quarter Note
• 3/4- Dotted 8th
• 2/3- Quarter Note Triplet
• 1/2- 8th Note
• 1/3- 8th Note Triplet
• 1/4- 16th Note
Toggle Switch (Mode Selector) Both- This is the “standard” delay and reverb mode Reverse- This is reverse delay mode with “standard” reverb Swell- This is the volume swell mode

Was a milestone birthday, there was no budget. Brief was: needed to be cutaway, with pickup, but NO onboard EQ or volume... wanted the guitar to sound the same every time. The best part was, I got handed one guitar and pushed it back after a strum and said "you've already given me that one!" Wife and clerk laughed out loud and called me a freak for being able to tell with my eyes shut. (the thing had a neck like a body builder!!!) The Epi is the red one on my Gear Porn pic and cost $399 AUD.

When I bought my acoustic I closed my eyes and had guitar clerk and wife pass me several guitars... so all I went on was feel and tone. Walked away with an Epiphone and love it. However, I bought the daughter a cheap guitar from an Australian online store Artist guitars, the Blue burst pictured here https://www.artistguitars.com.au/buy/artist-lsps-beginner-acoustic-guitar-pack-with-sma/70001 and I want to record with it over and over. I have fallen in love with this little guitar and I play it daily... Oh, that's AUD$ also. Point to my argument is... Buy the tone you like, not the name on the headstock.

Forgive if asked before, The forums are large and found no evidence. Is there a feature to chat discreetly with other board members? If I see a piece of gear I have on my want list on someone else's board, the ability to ask their opinion without clogging up forums would be good. However, I understand that with privacy dies transparency.
