Nolly owns three PRS guitars. This is his custom 24 and he described it as his new favorite guitar in his post.

For years, Nolly has used the Darkglass B7K Ultra and B7K Ultra V2, however, more recently with the release of the new Darkglass Microtubes X and X7, Nolly has adapted these new types of distortion. Nolly can be seen with the X7 on his home studio desk while tracking the bass for Periphery 4, first recording a DI from his bass, then continuing to 're-amp' the bass through then X7.

Nolly talks about how he has had a consistant method of building his bass tone, yet he has achieved it in different ways. In the past Nolly has used the B7K and FabFilter Saturn to create his distortion tones, for Periphery 4, we'll hear the X7 - likely for the majority of the album.

For Periphery 3, Nolly used the Fabfilter Saturn to act as the distortion stage in his bass tone. Nolly commonly builds his entire bass tone in 'the box' (DAW) and utilises EQ, compression, distortion and bass cab impulse responses to build his tone, all before moving onto making it fit into his mix.

His settings will typically be the following: Band 1 (0Hz-275Hz) - Bypass Band 2 (275Hz-20KHz) - Heavy Saturation - Mix at 80% - Feedback / Frequency at 0% - Dynamics at 50% - Drive at 75% - Tone left flat - Level at 0dB (no boost or cut)

Nolly uses the Cali76 as the first effect in the chain to keep the sound punchy and tight. He uses slow attack and fast release to retain the note attack and shut down fast enough to respond to the stacattos he plays. Also he says that the Cali is the only pedal compressor that sounds good with high ratios although he only uses 4:1

Nolly can be seen using a pair of Adam Audio S3V studio nearfeild monitors in his home studio based in his parents house in Bath, England. The monitors are used in conjuntion with a studio subwoofer.

It differs from the standard Dingwall Afterburner 6 String Bass in that it has the three pickups and a unique wedge neck.

In this video of Periphery recording Periphery II, Nolly can be seen playing a Mayones Jabba Classic 5 string in black w/ rosewood fretboard at 12:40, and again at 13:05.

In this video, Nolly can be seen demoing the Alpha Omega by Darkglass. Although this unit isnt the primary source of Nolly's bass tone, it can be heard as part of the drive sound used in 'Absolomb' by Periphery, and possibly other tracks too.

In the video provided [@ 2:02] it states: "This is my pride and joy guitar, had this for 3 years, since April 2008. This is a Blackmachine B2. It's got a really thick, hundred-year-old quilted maple top and a forty-year-old mahogany back, it's got a rosewood neck with ebony fillets and an ebony fretboard... that's one of my favourite six-strings."

In a 2013 Gear Rundown video on YouTube, Adam Nolly Getgood of Periphery showcases his live rig, featuring the Matrix GT1600FX amplifier, which he uses in conjunction with the AxeFX for a clean sound setup.

In this video from Oct. '14 about Periphery's Rig Adam mentions their power amp: "... I share the other half of our power amp to power my cabinet..."

Nolly has a signature guitar with ViK guitars called the Duality. It is available in 6 or 7 strings. Here he is in the video playing it at NAMM 2014.

This bass is the new 3-pickup version of the NG-2 bass. The bass comes in a 4, 5 or 6 string configuration and is used with each string set by Nolly.

In this post nolly shows off his grower modded marshal 800. Gower put its rockmonster mod in the amp. This gave the amp 5 gain stages, and an overhall of the circuit
