Basically, one of the Guardians created him in an attempt to make a perfect being through evolution. They would make a baby, leave him in the wild, let him die, take the cells off the body, and make a new clone from those cells. They kept doing this over and over until the environment couldn't kill him anymore and it just kept getting more and more progressive. Eventually, he developed immunity to everything that was killing him. Now, since Superman beat him to death, he cannot die from being beaten to death again.

I'm trying to update Brian Gibson's page to say that he's in the band Lightning Bolt. It says he's in Megasus (which he is) but I'm not adding his gear for Megasus. I'm adding his gear for Lightning Bolt. How do I edit the bands he's in?

Number 1 complaint through Texan's these days is "Well ever since all those Californian's started coming over in droves and taking all the jobs and housing...." The idea of a Californian Exodus is not a popular one here. Texas has taken on large communities over the passed 10 years or so and our culture and atmosphere have changed considerably because of it.

I bought the color coded cheapy patch cables online that come in a set. They are hit and miss though. One of them was bad right out of the package and caused a hum. You get like 12 of them for 8 bucks though so it's not the end of the world if they don't work.

I really dig color coding for stuff like that. Much easier to follow the cables on racks and such.

If you have the time and want to create your own, you could always dip them in that colored rubber coating for tool handles.

Do NOT buy those lightweight, 5 dollar cables you see in guitar shops in buckets and fish tanks.

Ibanez cables have always been good to me as well.

Darkseid isn't nearly as clever as Thanos though... in my opinion at least. Anyway, I need to process all of that. That was a blast of info, some of it outside of my comic book era (I didn't keep up with doomsday after superman died and returned as I was getting out of mainstream comics)...

The Doomsday that killed Superman in "Death of Superman" was a pupai or baby form of Doomsday. When he comes back to life, he is then immune to dieing from being beaten to death since that's the way he died in Death of Superman. He comes back, is allowed to mature, and is way worse than before. He was so powerful the next time that Superman could not figure out how to even slow him down. Superman had to resort to using weapons, armor, and a whole lot of help. He took Doomsday through a wormhole to the end of time and left him there until he could find a way to end him.

THEN.... we have Doomslayer. This was created when Darkseid trapped Doomsday into an eternity tunnel. Doomsday, living millions of years in what we perceive as a few days allowed him to evolve into an even more disgustingly strong version of himself that is super intelligent to boot. He actually sets out to kill all versions of Doomsday left.

There's a bassist on TalkBass who says he's going to buy it and hang it on a wall as an art piece. He's taking a long time to gather the funds for it though. It seems a shame that it would just be crucified over a fireplace.

I think you might like Dying Fetus. I found them to be the most perfect example o fa Death Metal band. The 2 songs Ill point out on my favorite album of theirs are below. One has an amazing bass drum cascade that blew my mind. The other is an anti-abortion song that really drives the message home.

On this one, the drum cascade comes in at 00:37 for the chorus. Amazing that people's feet can go that fast.

I saw a review of an Ashdown ctm-100 that made me want one. As a kid, I thought Ashdown was a cheap brand that made low quality products. If that was true, it seems they are turning around.

I've been looking over DC's most powerful beings and most of these guys I've never even heard of. A lot of them are in the same Deity genre. The top 4 most powerful in DC are The Presence (literally God), Lucifer, The Angel Michael, and a former angel of God's wrath called The Specter. I had heard of Specter before because of blackest night but never knew much about who he was until today. So the powers of Black Hand as the Black Lantern even extends to angels and demons.

When it comes to taking out Superman for the sake of DC's loss, we have to remember that there are others like him. His cousin Kara, Bizarro, Superboy Prime, Composite Superman, Cyborg Superman. There may even be more Kryptonians out there somewhere like Zod. Superman is only special because he is an alien in the wrong part of the universe. Anything other Kyrptonians stand a good chance of matching his power. They wont have the experience he has with it, but they should still be as strong in theory. Superman's villains bring the pain as well. Darkseid is essentially a more powerful version of Thanos. His Omega Beams are supposed to be 1 hitter quitters for anyone or anything they hit. Doomsday however has the unique gift of being unable to die the same way twice. Doomsday took a shot from those beams and still had enough gumption to knock Darkseid out afterwards.

DC villains do eventually screw each other over but it's because they are all chiefs and there's not enough Indians. Marvel has a lot of Indians that work together. The brotherhood of mutants for example is made up of 3 powerful mutants and the rest are guys like pyro, avalanche, blob, and toad. Those guys are softer personalities and are meant to be lead. When you get groups like the Injustice League, you have Luthor, Joker, Grod, Black Adam, and Sinestro. Guys that all took on large teams of heroes by themselves at points and usually inclined to be the leader of their own groups. I think in this case, it would take the writing to bring DC down. They'd have to write in the double crossing and such. For Marvel's side, I can see Doom trying to turn on Marvel. Whenever he thinks he has the perfect moment he goes for it, even when he's wrong. I could even see Magneto pulling a XX if he was confidant enough in victory.

According to marvel's website, there are 500 Novas. There are no less than 7200 Green Lanterns, not including the other corps. Larfleeze is listed as one of the most powerful beings in DC too. One of his Orange Lantern traits is that he has a power copy of everyone he's ever killed that fight for him on command and reside within his lantern. The Orange Lanterns technically only have 1 member, but when he battles you see a cloud of Orange Lanterns fighting. He has charged his ring to 100,000% power and that would double if he was in the presence of a Blue Lantern. Mind you, all of the lantern rings possess the ability to split like a single cell and recruit more lanterns. In a live or die situation, we could be seeing 10's of 1000's of lanterns out there. With Kyle Raynar, he may convert them all into White Lanterns and then we'd have an infinity gauntlet level event. Every time a lantern falls, their rings seeks a new recruit. If the rings were limited to recruiting in the DC universe, they potentially have 7 billion reserves on earth alone to be brought to the fight. Granted, they would be nearly useless as they wouldn't have the training, but some of them would have natural gifts that would allow them to make a difference.

I feel I also need to mention this. Marvel is also Disney, He-Man, and Howard the Duck. Do you guys really want that to live forever?

I admittedly was not too familiar with Gladiator. I looked him up as you mentioned him and it seems most fans believe he's not as powerful as Superman for one reason or another. He's also reliant on his mood to be strong? Something about having low confidence in the task makes him weak. In my eyes, there is no one person that can take Superman. The dude can lobotomize someone with his heat vision in such a minute and perfect way that it doesn't leave visible damage to the victim.

It would be a very low chance in seeing everyone allow Batman to lead the charge. Fortunately, he's proven in the passed that when he's the outsider of the group and everyone thinks he's given up he's forming a plan that will override the main groups'. You do mention some hard strategists. Gamemaster I would par with Raz Al Ghul. They both have the immortal, long life experience. Vandal Savage also had that experience. Kang could be interesting.

I don't know if Death could mess with Black Hand's powers. She could refuse to let new people die pending how they die. If he were still allowed to raise the dead, he'd have a pretty large army according to http://marvel.com/universe/Category:Deceased When Thanos was holding Death captive, she didn't seem to be able to stop him from doing anything. He killed half the universe with a snap and it never showed her stopping him. Even when he started killing the ones who could save her, she didn't save Cyclops from suffocating or any of the others.

I think the Lanterns would overtake the cosmic characters.Their numbers can be so great and if they recruit some of the weaker or normal characters in DC it would really up the advantage. Even the non-fighters like Louise Lane could potentially be a lantern. I think a white lantern could go up against a celestial but I don't know how many of them at once. If nothing else, Superman could be used there as well :) He lifted Eternity and a book with an infinite amount of pages. If DC didn't have Superman, this would be a lot easier on Marvel. He's just too good. DC has a character named Mister Mxyzptlk who is essentially Thanos with the Guantlet in terms of power. He can just think up a universe and have it exist. It works the other way around too. I don't know whether or not he has the power to do this with all beings, but it would be a game ender if he could just imagine the celestials exploding.

Oh, Jim Lee was my favorite artist. It would cartooney but sharp and bright. When someone says X-Men, his art is what I think about.

I don't think they ever made it a full out war. I think it was some heroes against villains thing.

Just because someone's powers are similar doesn't mean one of them isn't more powerful than the other. I think Aquaman would win a toe-to-toe with Namor. He can swim 15 mph faster, he has way less weaknesses (like Namor is sensitive to pollution), hes physically stronger, and he can heal himself.

The only time the fight would be in Namor's favor would be when they were equipped with amazing items. Namor was entrusted to carry the Time Gem of the infinity gauntlet and another time we had the Phoenix live in him. Just on base states though, Aquaman has the advantage.

For me, DC would win. They have Superman who is essentially a God. They even had to scale his powers down over the years.

The White Lantern is a deity killer. Not only can he recruit more members to be a Lanterns, but he has 1 hit a character that could not be harmed by every Lantern in the universe during a combined attack.

Both sides have multiple super-geniuses. Most of the masterminds on both sides are great at understanding and invention but there is one genius that stands above all others as a tactician, Bruce Wayne. Unlike Marvel's geeks, DC's often have no powers. Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor must be able to out-think gods and ancients without having any innate powers. If we were to just put Stark VS Wayne, DC would win I think. Stark has more weaknesses and relies heavily on his equipment more than he does on out-thinking and out-maneuvering his opponents. Batman is willing to go farther than anyone else to win. When its on the line, he will cheat, die, and even kill loved ones in order to achieve the best results.

Speedsters. Even in a one on one of the Barry Alan Flash versus Quicksilver, The Flash is faster. He can actually time travel with it due to his tie with the speed force. No items needed. So if great items like the Infinity Gauntlet were left out, control of time goes to DC. There are time travelers in Marvel, but they are all reliant on machines and technology to do so (Apocalypse, Cable, Bishop, Stryffe). This is a major disadvantage.

The Black Hand. Someone who controls the dead. Every super hero or villain from both sides being risen from the dead and given the powers of a black lantern. It nearly killed the entire DC universe. With the help of DC, I think it would definitely end Marvel's.

Lantern recruitment. The rings of the corpses recruit new members and 1 in particular holds a threat over Marvel. The red lantern rings force themselves onto those who have great rage inside and then clouds the minds of the new lantern with so much rage, they are unable to control themselves. These rings finding their way onto the fingers of Hulk, Wolverine, Punisher, and Antman would be detrimental to Marvel. Can you imagine a hulk flying around, drooling napalm, and having the rage inside him multiplied unstably? Technically, Hulk grows in size pending how angry he is. A red lantern hulk could be building size or more.

I think it would take a creative twist to give Marvel a chance at winning.

I have my own strong opinion on this matter and I would like to see what you guys say about this?

If the DC Universe suddenly fused with Marvel Universes 616 and an impromptu fight broke out between the universes, who would win and why?

Keep in mind, they all must fight. Most of the heroes of both universes would join forces to figure out how and why this happened, but that's not fun to debate. They must fight.

I have an RBI and a an RPM running together in my rack. It took so long to figure out exactly how to switch-board it up to get what I wanted out of it.

The bass driver is supposed to be the exact same thing as the RBI, but in a lower quality form. It's completely the opposite though. The bass driver is a pedal that I wont ever sell or trade. As soon as I get the Kemper, I think my whole rack is going.

Agreed. I thought for 60 bucks that I would get something really nice. They actually installed the parts backwards on one of the jacks, so there is a spring that sticks out and pushes against what it's plugged into. If it's a bass, it will usually get pushed out. Only way to fix it is surgery and I don't have the want to do that yet.

Drugs do a to of damage to a person.

I really don't hear anyone every say they use anything really exotic. One guy sold me aguitar in some funky tuning he claims ZZ Top uses, but when I looked up one of their songs it was in Standard.

Nearly every conversation I overhear on tuning I hear 1 of two things. "We play Drop D" or "We play Drop C".

I wish the stores here were mindful enough to carry the shock ones. I want to see this inside of one and see what exactly is anti-shock. I figured it was a box suspended in a box by rubber or something but from what I can see, it's just a konex set on the inside that is bolted to the sides.

Until I get the Kemper later this year, I record all my stuff through a SansAmp Bass Driver DI, A Pig Hog XLR - XLR, and a Behringer XENYX USB 1204. It's great for bass but I havent found a great guitar tone through it all yet.

I've had to record straight from my SansAmo RBI once due to cable problems and I don't prefer it.

A friend of mine swears by Bullet Coils. I own a LAVA Coil and the craftsmanship isnt up to snuff.

The best cable I own is a Pig Hog Xlr to Xlr. Very high quality, very happy with it's results, and it wasnt an arm and a leg.

OK, well the picture I used, I think it would serve as a very good standard for tunings, but I don't know how to reproduce that picture, and my knowledge of theory is very weak.

I think it wouldn't hurt as an add-on, but the majority of players in my experience cannot read sheet music. If you tell them the name of the tuning and they are not familiar with it, they can use a tuner or the interwebs to find it.

I myself read sheet music for only a year in middle school and before the end of that year I had already ditched it for the most part.

I remember where B Flat was on a Tuba's sheet, but I couldn't remember where the trombone and baritones were.

Gibson's website is a bad example to use there :) They spam their different finishes and attachments because they don't have a large amount of styles.

I think of it all like this. Does the item that's added, be it paint, a tremolo, an different preamp, or a gauge change the guitar itself? Would changing any of the said items mean that what was once a Gibson Les Paul is now something different?

I like the idea of the submission having all the details and history of the item. When I first started adding items a s member, I put all the models of Bass Tom Araya uses. They are identical in appearance and scale and such. Only difference is electronics and materials used. So instead of Tom Araya having an ESP TA-400, ESP TA-600, ESP TA-1000 or whatever they were, it would be much cleaner to have it say "ESP Tom Araya Signature Series Guitars" and in the summary have what models he uses out of the series.

If you were wanting to know what the guitar a musician on TV used for a television appearance, would you want to see a brief explanation of what it was with the option to have any more detail on which model it was or would you rather have 5 different identical guitars attached to his page and have to spend time figuring out what the difference is between them?

I haven't watch wrestling routinely in years but every year or so I get curious how things are going and try to catch an episode. I'm always angered and disappointed with what I see.

I can't eal with it anymore. One of my band's managers had a personal assistant who's stepdad was a pro-wrestling trainer/choreographer. She also dated a small-time wrestler who got on my nerves. All they talked about was wrestling. Nice enough girl, she just killed the whole thing for me.

Oooh I hate it when people cling to industry lingo to feel connected and alienate people outside their profession. We used to do i tin the prison system. I work with a girl now who is an ex-con. She ends every conversation with "I know that's right". I really hate Prison lingo all together these days. It's been a minute since, I made a johnny, boss, referring to their room as their house. Same goes for wrestling talk. Someone will over use the terminology and it comes off like that are desperate to be identified with wrestling. "He took a bump. The new neighbor is a face. Some jobber and that jabroni he was with... I marked out when he sandbagged.".

I think maybe this applies to me in all businesses I guess. I go blank when car guys go on about this and that.

Auto Tune. Everyone feels they are 2 steps away from replacing Celine Dion because of this stuff.

When you order something as simple as a 1/4 cable and it's manufactured out of order / ruined.

Rack Cases. It bothers me that I cannot ever find one that has the exact number of unit I want, with the same features I want, with a price I want. For the price of some of them, I'm sure I could make my own and have it a lot more secure.

Plastic everything. Remember how the 80's were the Age of Wood or wallpaper and tape that LOOKED like wood? Now it's the age of cheap plastic. I don't dig it. Have you ever seen a custom cabinet that is all well built wood? It's sexy. No more plastic.

Tolex - Why would anyone want a thin piece of plywood to be covered in a rough feeling wall paper material? Wouldn't it be better to use a spray on liner like Rhino Liner?

OK, so I was looking at some categories, and I noticed there's one for TUNINGS. This is very uncommon, but artists do sometimes present alternate tunings. Can we post that? And how?

I was thinking we could just put the name "Standard Tuning" (as an example), and a picture like this:

That is an excellent idea. There have been times when I had to search 10 or so websites to get the tuning of a certain song. We could certainly put that info in the guitar submission body for now, but it would rock to see it as additional info under what band they play and such. Would be even better, but longer to create, to have the option to list all the song's they play in which Tunings. For example.

Next time I am aware of a major band coming through my neck of the woods... err.... plains, I plan to bring a camera and my shotgun mic. I think some EB Exclusive interviews and gear tours would be exciting to have on here. Not a lot come through here but when they do, they usually play for a local bar here. Maybe 50 bucks would get me a 2 minute personal appearance of some of the shows.
