C-Lab was a Hamburg, Germany-based music software and hardware company active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, best known for pioneering MIDI sequencing software on the Atari ST. The company was established by a Hamburg music store to distribute the work of developers Gerhard Lengeling and Chris Adam, with Sven Junge handling sales. Their flagship programs were Creator, a 64-track MIDI sequencer first released in 1987, and Notator, which added a Score Editor and printing and is credited as the first MIDI sequencer with interactive realtime notation.

Alongside its software, C-Lab produced a line of companion hardware for the Atari ST, including the Unitor and Unitor 2 SMPTE synchronizers and MIDI expanders, the Export MIDI interface, the Combiner cartridge expander, and the Steady Eye and Human Touch synchronization devices. For the Commodore 64, the company released earlier sequencing titles such as SoftTrack 16+, SuperTrack, and ScoreTrack. The Notator and Unitor combination became a common setup in professional MIDI studios of the era.

In late 1992, following a dispute with the store owners, Lengeling, Adam, and Junge left C-Lab and founded Emagic, which went on to develop Logic — the sequencer later acquired by Apple and rebranded as Logic Pro. C-Lab itself ceased development after the founders' departure.
