You can have it open or closed, it's a really tight fit with the closed back

I wish that 2x12s were as deep as 4x12s. Its rare to find a 2x12 deeper than 10" and pretty impossible to find one deeper than a foot. When gauging down to a 2x12 to save the 'ol back it would be nice to keep equivalent ari space behind ech speaker, right?

I agree, it's a very trebly cab. Goes very well with "dark" sounding amps, like the Jet City 20HV.
