Description

Jet-powered guitar distortion with the Afterburner.

Looking for killer overdrive in a durable, long-lasting pedal? Look no further, because Jet City has got you covered with the Afterburner Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal. This true-bypass, two-stage overdrive pedal features incredible-sounding distorted tones for mean rhythms and screaming solos. The first stage is a straight-up overdrive for adding gain to the front-end of a tube amp. The second stage is a "clean" boost to increase volume for solos, etc.

The pedal features independent control of overdrive and "afterburner" boost stage. The volume controls the overall output level, and the tone controls the tone definition. The overdrive knob controls the amount of OD for 1st stage. The boosts engage and control the level for the second stage.

The pedal is built with boutique-quality materials, under the strict specifications of Jet City Amplification. The tone is superb for a multitude of genres”from blues, to funk, to rock, the Afterburner will take your guitar tone to new heights.

Critic Reviews

Jet City Afterburner review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Jet City Afterburner Overdrive is a solid choice for guitarists seeking low to mid-gain tones at an affordable price. Its strength lies in delivering great blues and indie sounds with versatile tone control. The pedal's two-stage design and Boost feature add depth to your playing, whether you're looking for a bluesy lead or an indie rhythm crunch. However, it falls short for high-gain enthusiasts, and battery access can be cumbersome. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Afterburner shines in its niche, offering quality drive sounds without breaking the bank.

Useful

It’s has good overdrive and is really good when used in digital recording. However, the boost feels weak

Great pedal for the price, but something's not enough

It does a great job for this price, but the boost pedal doesn't boost it much when the overdrive knob is at 12 o clock... I see the little difference, I like it, but there's something that makes me feel empty a little.

john_tebbitt

Great overdrive

I haven't seen these around often, got mine for a song and it's a great overdrive.
