Critic Reviews

JCA100HDM Review: For me and what I do, it suits my needs well. | Jet City Amplification | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Jet City Amplification 100HDM delivers impressive versatility and sound for its price, drawing comparisons to high-end Soldano models. With its robust build and dynamic range, it covers everything from romantic cleans to hard-rock gains, making it a top choice for rock and metal players. However, its brightness may require careful EQ adjustments, and some noise issues could arise depending on your setup. For those seeking rich tones without breaking the bank, this amp is a fantastic contender, especially given its reliability and ease of use.

A powerful, powerful amp

The Jet City line of amps is design by the legendary Mike Soldano, creator of the badass Soldano SLO and Hot Rod amps. Keeping consistent with the Jet City offerings of incredible design at a cost that doesn't break your bank (thanks China!), the JCA100HDM packs a MAJOR punch. The 2-channel, 100/50W head is for those who love gain. With the crunch (aka "clean) and the overdrive channels, one can dial in some intense toanz. The HDM features preamp and master controls for each channel with shared equalization, presence, and depth knobs. The depth knobs is what separates this from the regular JCA100, as it adds some low to this very trebly amp. For me personally, I like it - I love it when the amp does the work and can handle being pushed hard. Although the stock tubes aren't the best, this amp does deliver in its stock form and has loads of potential. 5/5 would buy moar
