Neunaber Audio is a California-based effects pedal company founded in 2009 by Brian Neunaber, an audio engineer and DSP architect with professional design experience dating back to the mid-1990s. The brand built its reputation on compact digital effects pedals distinguished by sophisticated proprietary algorithms, with reverb at the center of its catalog.
The Wet Reverberator, Neunaber's earliest flagship, established the brand's approach: pristine digital processing in a small, pedalboard-friendly enclosure. Subsequent designs expanded the range considerably — the Immerse Reverberator packs eight stereo reverb modes including plate, hall, spring, and shimmer into a single unit; the Expanse is a programmable multi-effects pedal configurable via companion software; the Slate combines stereo reverb and chorus; the Iconoclast is a speaker emulator designed for direct recording and live use; and the Inspire Tri-Chorus and Neuron gain pedal round out the lineup. Neunaber positioned the brand between mass-market and boutique: designed and assembled in Orange County, California, with automated production for consistent quality at accessible price points.
In 2023, Neunaber Audio entered a partnership with Quilter Labs — the amplification company co-founded by QSC veteran Pat Quilter — bringing Neunaber's operations under the Quilter Labs umbrella while Brian Neunaber moved into a dedicated product development role. The two companies share history: both Quilter and Neunaber previously worked at QSC. The Quilter Labs Neunaber Elevate, an all-in-one amp/FX/cab pedal, was the first collaborative product to emerge from the partnership. Neunaber effects are sold through the Quilter Labs platform and continue to attract guitarists and experimental players drawn to their algorithmic reverb quality, stereo capability, and streamlined controls.
