On March 27, 2017, Custom Audio Electronics shared a picture via their instgram showing off their completed work custom building John Mayer's rig for his "The Search For Everything" tour. In the photo you can clearley see the Neunaber Slate right next to the Way Huge AP.
John goes on to explain in a youtube video that he purchases tons of pedals and this particilaur reverb inspired the track "Love On The Weekend". The pedal he is refering to is a Neunaber Slate which has been rebranded / renamed by Neunaber, now called the EXPANSE.
The Slate can be programmed to be many modulation effects. John's pedal is most likley programmed as one of the following:
Wet Reverb Seraphim Shimmer Reverb (Wet, hall, plate, spring, modulated) Shimmer
A good guess is that its one of the presets from the other Neunaber reverb pedal: IMMERSE REVERBERATOR
You can hear John talk about the pedal here:
"Some of the pedals that have made it onto the album so far... #peripheryiii @mxr @catalinbread @carolinegco @darkglasselectronics @seymourduncanpickups @protonepedals @mrblackpedals @tcelectronic @neunaberaudio @earthquakerdev @strymonengineering #freethetone"
