Charlie Hunter
Charlie Hunter's Gear
According to Maxon's website, Hunter uses the Maxon AD-900 pedal.
"I only own two guitar amps and I keep one on the East Coast and the other on the West Coast. I have a Carr Rambler that I got made into a class A/B instead of class A, and I really like that. The regular Rambler is an incredible amp that you can’t go wrong with, but because of the way my guitar is tuned, it makes sense to have an amp that delivers more of the percussive and less of the sweet.
For the West Coast, I have a Rambler chassis that actually houses a Carr Impala, with the master volume removed because I don’t need that. Sometimes those amps get swapped and the West Coast becomes the East Coast and vice versa. Both are absolutely great amps, and I’ve never had anything resembling a problem with either one.
For bass amps, I’ve got exactly the same East-and-West-Coast thing happening. Like with my guitar amps, I only own two, but they’re both the same: Mesa Walkabout heads with stock 1x15 cabinets."
"I called up Strymon and got their Leslie thing [Lex Rotary], and I can’t believe how good it is. It blew me away. It beats the living shit out of any other Leslie device I have tried, other than the actual cabinet. When I am doing tours where I have to backline stuff, the amps are always awful."
Subway D-800 Bass amp and two Subway Ultra-Lite 1x12 Cabs for his bass tone
He's using it since 2007/2008 and you can see him play it in These videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8xPaAnx5OM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La2gmwSQJo0
"Our Charlie Hunter guitars are pure hybrid dual output instruments. The bottom 3 strings are bass, the top 4 strings are guitar. Each side has its own circuit and output, meant to to be played through a corresponding bass and guitar amp."
"DESIGNED AND BUILT BY CHARLIE HUNTER, CLAY CONNER, AND WES LAMBE."
"The Charlie Hunter 8-string guitar is a result of the collaborative design efforts of Charlie Hunter and Ralph Novak. All critical specifications - scale lengths, electronics and pickups, string spacing and neck dimensions - are the same as Charlie Hunter's current instrument." - Novax Guitars.

According to Maxon's website, Hunter uses the Maxon PH350 rotary phaser pedal.

"Often times, the reverb doesn’t work, so I was thinking of the [Strymon] Flint as an insurance policy. At least I know that I will have this sound regardless of how bad the gig gear is."
In a 2010 video by TheAtelier58 on YouTube, Charlie Hunter is seen playing a Ken Parker Archtop guitar.
"For the West Coast, I have a Rambler chassis that actually houses a Carr Impala, with the master volume removed because I don’t need that."
"The studio had an Ampeg V4B and I used it for the bass. We also used one of those old Fender amps [Pro Reverb] with a 15" speaker. We turned the bass all the way up and the treble all the way down, and it wasn’t on very loud."

"The guitar I’ve been playing is by a guy named Wes Lambe in North Carolina."
Charlie Hunter already used the original Maggie in his setup in 2018, than BTMB modded it to his instructions (see, https://m.facebook.com/bigtonemusicbrewery/photos/customized-this-maggie-for-charlie-hunter-a-few-months-back-added-a-rate-express/1459565927478393). They took these mods and incorporated them into the 2.0 version of the pedal when that was released in 2021. It therefor made sense to have him promo this new incarnation of the pedal.
In this video at 45:39 Charlie talks about the Mu-tron Phasor II.
Charlie Hunter uses the Boss RT-2 Rotary Ensemble Pedal, as confirmed in a YouTube video titled "Boss RT-2 with Hybrid Guitar" by Charlie Hunter himself. In the video description, Hunter thanks @rolandeurope for sending him this rotary speaker emulator.
Charlie Hunter is seen demonstrating the Hybrid Guitars Big 6 in a video titled "Hybrid Guitars Short Scale 6 G Tuning" on YouTube. As the owner of the company that manufactures this guitar, his use of it is confirmed by this demonstration.
