Worse than a Metal Zone
If the Boss Metal Zone was a box of bees, then this is a box of really f’ing angry bees on helium. Talk about scooping the mids, jesus... hideous pedal.

Meh..
It’s ok I guess. Sadly, you have to turn the desk output volume to full in order to get enough come through the monitors that you can hear it, but for an entry level product it’s alright, nothing spectacular.

Great, but ropey in places
It’s a wonderful delay and the looper function is really handy, but sometimes it gets a little too intense without much alteration.

Simply beautiful
I use this on a couple of Medicine Club tracks when played live. It takes a while to get used to, but you can get some beautiful tones from it once you learn your way around it.

Squealy
This pedal is brilliant... IF you overlook the fundamental flaws. Firstly, the tone control is on the inside of the pedal which means, unless they both use the same drive tone, this only works for one song per gig. Secondly, if you use it while it charges it squeals badly and even if you take it off charge it still hisses. Tonally it's beautiful and the Li-ion battery was a neat idea, but it wasn't executed well enough.

Great to mix
Really love being able to mix between overdrive and distortion, you can get any kind of drive or distortion out of this because it's so versatile. My go-to drive.

Rock solid
It's built like a tank and the hard case could save your pedals from a nuclear war. Amazing.

Good, but missing a power supply
Sounds absolutely amazing, but it doesn't have a 9v power socket, so it relies on batteries. Not ideal, but if you can put up with that you'll love the pedal.

The original Jen Cry Baby does not have an external power jack. But the Cry Baby Super has a 3.5 jack for external power!

Beautiful
I got my Takamine in 2014 and to this date I've not felt the need to buy another acoustic. The tone is brilliant, helped especially by the EQ on the side of the body. It also has a built in tuner which eliminates the need for an irritating clip-on tuner.

Great sweep
I use this pedal on Medicine Club's song 'Reform', primarily for it's pitch bend function (S bend on the Boss equivalent). Although it's got plastic coating and is about a quarter of the price of the Boss original, it's got a really nice sweep and it'll be staying on my board for a long time.

Good reverb
Not a bad little pedal, sounds quite good, but I don't have room for it on my smaller board at the moment so it's gathering dust.

Nice for a Squier
Ah, my first Telecaster. I remember when I first got this and for about 2 years it was my first choice of guitar. Build quality can be a bit dodgy, but tonally it's actually not bad for the price.

Lovely guitar
My American Special, along with my Mexican Standard, is my go-to guitar. I got this in February 2016 and I wouldn't part with it for love nor money (ok, that's probably a lie). Sounds great on stage and in the studio and the greasebucket tone circuit sounds wonderful.

Why buy American?
Personally, I don't get the hype around American Teles. I bought my Mexican in April 2017 and it's every bit as good as my American Special, maybe even better in some respects. Mine's in Arctic White, no cosmetic or tonal issues - well worth the money.

Cool, but hard to find a use for
I've had this for a while and absolutely love it. You can get some awesome sounds out of this when you really start experimenting,but trying to find a practical use for it can sometimes be quite hard. Good fun though!

Nice
Really cool pedal. I considered getting a Super Pulsar but realistically, that was just far too confusing to look at and I needed something simple on stage to avoid confusion when tap dancing between pedals. The adjustable rate, depth and waveform make this a really accessible pedal that's really effective.

Good for modulation and time-based effects
The modulation, reverb and delay effects on the M5 are amazing. Take a look at the octo reverb, the particle reverb, the volume swells, the synth modes. It's a really impressive pedal on that front, but the distortions and overdrives really let it down. Not bad on the compression front though.

Surprisingly good
Ok - we all know the reputation Behringer have for being the dodgiest, cheapest alternative to every pedal brand going, but at times I do take issue with its bad reputation and the VM1 is one of those instances. As far as being a Memory Man clone goes, it's not half bad. Great tone from it, the chorus and vibrato are pretty solid and it's just a lovely clean delay. Amazing value for money,

Sweet, sweet sustain
I use an EBow on Medicine Club's song 'Hear No, Speak No'. The ability to sustain notes, especially when combined with some delay, allows you to create incredible soundscapes which can really fill a venue/recording.
