I wanted a red guitar, because the album is red; I thought it would be a nice match. The second Jag I got was a Kurt Cobain Special, and I replicated that because I liked it. I played around with the Strat a little bit, but the Tele was a main one. [...]

Well, actually because of the circumstances, of Covid, I actually I ended up going to Sydney to record this album, from Melbourne, which is like 10-hour drive. We found this great studio up there, but all I had with me was my Maton acoustic guitar and the Kurt Cobain Jag. I didn't even have my pedals with me, either.

There is a clear shot of Courtney playing a Harmony H59 at 1:41 in this video. The guitar was mentioned in the 2015 Premier Guitar interview.
I found it in this store just outside of Melbourne—I'm left-handed and it's hard to find guitars. It was the first nice guitar I bought myself. Before then I had an acoustic and a shitty old electric that I got when I was a kid. [The Harmony] was always pretty special, but then I took it on tour and it got a crack in the back. It's got one of those floating bridges and it just went out of tune halfway through every song. I started playing a bit harder and it just wasn't right. I keep it at home now and play it there.
