Eddie Breckenridge's Gear
In his Instagram post, Ed shares a picture of his main bass guitar which is Gibson Grabber that's usually tuned to AADG.
Ed is well known for building his own Grabber-style basses and using them for his band Thrice. This is his main bass, the one that he calls βthe Brown bassβ. This is a bass he says he built in his parentβs garage in 2001/2002. It has a walnut body with a rosewood neck and an original Gibson Grabber pickup that he salvaged from a broken Grabber he got.
There is an interview the website Tone Mob did with Ed where he talks in more detail of this bass and the maple one he also built: https://tonemob.com/podcast/eddie-breckenridge-of-thrice/

On our last tour my SVT kept breaking down and unfortunately I had no back up with me. Adam from La Dispute was kind enough to let me use his Super Bassman for most of the tour. I've fallen in love with this beast. Everything my old amp could do and even more.
