Great Reverb pedal

6 different modes, all of them are useful. Like the other marshall pedals it has the spill-over effect which is really nice to have. Plays in the same league as the RV Series from Boss but doesn't cost as much.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Very versatile hard-clipper

Despite it is a hard-clipper you can get very smooth overdrive sounds from it, also try it on rather much gain and then dial back the volume of your guitar. Also sounds great when hit by another low gain OD like a Bluesbreaker 2 or an Boss SD 1, or by another distortion (DS-1 for example). It takes some time to dial in a good sound, but when you have it you don't want anything else.

Very versatile Delay pedal

It has several modes, all of them are useful. It has enormous delay time (2000ms) and 6 different modes to choose from. The only thing it doesn't do is self-oscilation, but you can get very nice delay sounds out of it. My favourite is the Tape-Echo setting which is very nice for short slapback kind of sounds like you find in oldschool rock and roll and surf music. And it can be found relatively cheap on the used market. Get one before they get more expensive.

Great Modulation Multi-FX

This is a hidden gem. It has two different chorus options, a flanger, a phaser, a step-phaser (nice gimmick but rather unusable in most contexts) and a uni-vibe mode. All of these do sound very good and can be dialed in to many different sounds. For its price you get a ton of value. This item saves a lot of space and money. If you can get one, buy it, you won't regret it.

Nice Overdrive

I was looking for a more transparent Overdrive than the SD-1 and this one did the job. It's not very close to the original Bluesbreaker pedal, but it cost a fraction and does a pretty good job. In the Blues mode (overdrive) it lacks volume, where you get tons of in the boost mode. This could be balanced better, but anyway it's a nice and versatile pedal.

OK pedal board

I got mine for 20€ used, for that it is ok. What I don't like about it is that there is not much space underneath for a power supply and that it's a bit of a hustle to get it into its bag, especially when loaded. Otherwise it's ok for beginners with not so many pedals.

Decent chorus pedal

I got mine for 50€ used (1990 analog) and it does a nice 80s like clean tone. I don't like it with too much overdrive, but this is a matter of personal preference. You can't go wrong, if you want to have a bit of 80s flair in your sound.

Nice Muff-style Fuzz

It does a Big Muff style sound and doesn't cost a lot. Also works good for Bass without cutting the low end.

It's ok

You can dial in some decent Reverb effects, they are not that great though. It's worth a try if your amp has no reverb and you don't want to spend a lot of money.

Reasonable Chorus

I wanted to try out chorus effect, but not spend too much money on one. So I got this used for 10 bucks or so and it did what a chorus should do. I sold it and got me a CH-1 from Boss which was a bit more expensive but seems more durable and has a slightly warmer sound imho. But for starting with modulation effects, this is a good deal.

Does it's job

I tried this once, it does what a compressor should do, but I had to learn that compressor is just not my kink.

Great Punkrock Guitar

I have a 2007 model with a P100 in TV Yellow, it says custom shop, but I guess it's just a branding. I love it anyways,. I was sceptical about the Pickup, but for what I can say it has a good sound for punkrock. The clean sound is not so much '57ish, like the old Gibsons with P90s, the P100 is rather made for punk than for blues. This guitar is a great tool for playing crunch sounds, light-weight body and comfortable neck with good intonation and reasonable string height. Tone and Volume Pots are doing their job, I can't complain about anything.

Decent analog delay

It does what you would expect from an analog delay. The repeats go darker but in a subtle mellow way. You can get it to oscillate. It's a clone of the Boss DM-2, I never played one of these, because I don't know why I should spend 200+€ when I can get the Behringer-clone for a tenth of the price. Definetly does the trick.

Best at home amp

This is a selfbuild 3.5W Tube Amp based on the early fender champ circuit. It has an 8" Electroharmonix Musical Instrument Speaker and controls for Gain, Tone and Volume. You can switch to 2 slightly different bedroom distortion modes with much lower volumes compared to the clean channel. You can have very nice tube drive sound in that channel, too, and at fairly low volume thanks to the master volume. I love this amp!

Good patch cables

Standard patch cables we're too small to get the signal from my drive/distortion section to the NS-2 return, but these have just the right length. Sound good, too, there is no audible loss in top end even when I use them on all board connections.

The best strings for my purpose..

which is playing Rhythm and Lead. The low strings give you this nice chug for powerchords while the high strings provide enough brilliance for nagging leads and squealing soli. The only problem that I have with these is that the E string has a lot of tension in standard tuning and occasionally snaps when I hit it too hard, but on the other hand that helped me to practice my strumming dynamics.

My standard guitar pick

For me this is the best compromise between stiffness and flexibility. In my band I usually play chords so my plek shouldn't be too stiff, but I play singlenotes for soloing occasionally, so I need a pick that's not too flexible, too. I do play quite powerful and this plek helps me a lot with not messing too much with my strings while maintaining a good attack. They are quite durable, too, and the highlighted lettering provides enough grip to neither loose or turn the pick when in action.

It's MIM but good anyway

I have played this in most of the bands I played bass in. It's a classic and even though it's made in Mexico I do not see nor hear any differences to an American JBass other than the price-tag. Maybe I was lucky with this one and other are worse, but for the 350€ (375$?) I payed to the first owner back in 2010 i am totally satisfied with what I got. Sounds and feels great and that is what makes great gear.

Ok for shenannigans, but not for stage

I got mine for participating in a band contest back in the 2000s. It's not bad, but I would not gig with it because you can easily loose yourself in all the sound possibilities, but neither of these sound very good to me. It's nice to play around with it, but I do not recommend it as a serious part of a bass rig.

Behringer Memory Man Clone..

.. just didn't make it as the product name. If you are looking for a cheap MM alternative you should give it a try, but be aware those go for more than the original price by now. You can easily loose yourself in self oscillation. I didn't use it with my band so I sold it and I am ok with that decision.
