For being free, it's a great bass sample library.
Like with their free guitar, this is also completely free. I use this one a LOT and it's legitimately become one of my go-to plugin/library whenever I need a bass sound. It won't sound good right out of the gate, but I've got a preset I can quickly load, and suddenly it really supports everything under it with grace.
You can also run it through a bass amp sim, and well it'll sound way grittier for sure.
Anyway point is you absolutely should get this, it's free, and it's a great bass guitar library. Absolutely stunned that they let this be free, too.

Does Komplete Select include any of the Scarbee bass plugins? I'm wondering how this compares. Price wise, yes... this wins right out of the gate. :) Excellent of you to let us know this exists. Cheers!

@pkennethk Select does include the Rickenbacker bass, yeah, however I still really enjoy using this one more, even if the Rickenbacker has a lot of the stuff I'd do externally simply built in, as well as another pickup. It's weird.

I bet your experience comes down to the type of bass sampled. It's hard to beat the usability of a good, clean Precision Bass tone, which is what it looks like this Ample one is made from. P-Bass tone just kinda fits anywhere. Rick bass tone has its places, but not as broadly usable as P Bass tone, IMHO.

this is solid if you don't have a bass, or are too lazy to play your own
because i'm too lazy to reach over and grab my bass, this is the next best thing. moving files around can cause it to break however.
