Loads of affordable fun.
Similar to the Schoenhut toy piano and often used at the same time it's super fun to stack or just pepper in pitched percussion into arrangements. Same goes for sampling. Loads of fun to warp, isolate the attack or sustain, adjust the attack or sustain with a transient designer, and in general just create new sounds often wildly different sounds than the source.
If any of that sounds like fun, I'd definitely say go out a grab one-
