I call her mello yel-- I mean TRON! MELLOTRON!

These eastern European dudes make great VSTi's. Way to go Elektrostudio. And thanks for giving them away free. WOW!

Obviously Tapeotronic is a mellotron simulator. It has 3 sounds, voice, flute and strings and they are blendable. You can open the virtual cover and adjust the bias of the virtual tape loops and detune shit. Its amazing. I've heard slightly better Mellotron sims, but not ones that are as tweakable... and not FOR FREE! If you put this thru a guitar amp plugin or re-amp thru one of your old tube amps you can really throw down some amazing "Strawberry Fields" sounds. But its useful for a lot more. Go to my sound cloud and check out the electronic song titled "September 1985?" I used Tapeotronic for most of the strings and all of the choir parts:
