Most fun and creative effects processor ever!

31 modular effect blocks [5 in a row + limiter], multiple XY controls, effect step sequencer, randomizers, envelopes... this app is a powerhouse. Made to Adrian Belew's own specifications, FLUX:FX can mangle your signal or just sprinkle some perfect fairy dust on top. Your choice!

Looks/sounds sick. Just for iPad? So... I'm curious though... what's the sound source? What can you effect? Like, what are some use cases?

cell7

Just for iPad but apparently for iPhone soon [according to the audiobus forum]. The sound source is whatever you want to put through it - guitar, bass, drums, violin, vocals, synths etc as a line-in through an audio interface, or any other audiobus or IAA app via internal routing. Another example use case: in this vid it looks like Adrian Belew runs his axe-fx II rig through the FLUX:FX app [via an A/B switch] to get some freakout loopy reverse sounds while he is playing live.

Malani is a big fan of Adrian Belew, and his iPad app Flux:FX. “He’s got the largest collection of effects in the world,” said Malani. “His studio in Nashville has this giant walk-in wardrobe where every effect he’s ever owned is patched in to a patch bay so he can play through any sequence of effects. The app is based on all his favourite combinations. A lot of the soundscapes, or times where you need something more bassy than bass, come from there. It also has this really amazing sub synth bass that’s really interactive.”
