Description

Have you ever wanted to take the audio output of one piece of software and send it to another? How about taking the output of that same program and send it to two others, then record the result in the first program? Or maybe you’re a programmer who writes real-time audio and music applications and who is looking for a cross-platform API that enables not only device sharing but also inter-application audio routing, and is incredibly easy to learn and use? If so, JACK may be what you’ve been looking for.

JACK Audio Connection Kit for iOS - a rival to Audiobus? | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

JACK Audio Connection Kit for iOS enters the fray as a new contender against Audiobus, offering a free and versatile solution for audio/MIDI routing and synchronization on iPhones and iPads. It boasts a visual interface for connecting apps, low-latency performance, and multi-core CPU support. The open standard is a boon for developers, promising quick implementation. However, its success hinges on app support, which is currently sparse. As a free tool, JACK is worth exploring, though its potential remains untapped without broader adoption.

Connecting Bitwig & Cubase

I use JACK to connect Bitwig & Cubase. This way, I can utilize Cubase's control room while working in Bitwig. Setup is intimidating, but once you understand what's going, it's all SO worth it! =D
