Mercuriall’s Free MT-A Plugin Emulates the Iconic—and Controversial—Boss Metal Zone Pedal | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

Mercuriall's MT-A plugin offers a nostalgic yet modern take on the iconic Boss Metal Zone pedal, delighting fans with its authentic emulation and user-friendly interface. The plugin captures the gritty, overdriven tones that defined '90s metal, making it a compelling addition for guitarists seeking that classic sound. However, the MT-A's harshness can be polarizing—if you're not a fan of the original's buzz, this might not be for you. Still, for those willing to embrace its quirks, this free plugin is a worthwhile download for both new and seasoned players alike.

An Excellent Metal Zone Simulator

The MT-A by Mercuriall simulates the controversial Boss Metal Zone pedal, loved by some and hated by others. I really like this pedal, and this plugin, besides being free, does its job perfectly. I usually use it together with the Roland JC-120 plugin.
