Description
Particular proudly presents Spectrality – Temporal AIR Impulses; wispy convolution patterns, rhythmic air fresheners and cloudy modulation staccatos. Suitable for just any style craving great effects with an airy richness to them - as well as the occasional FX or drop echoing into oblivion.
Created in the same way as the previous instalments - by playing very short sounds through a diverse range of effects - we now focused much more on broadband noises and airy postprocessing, to get that extra depth and clarity into the impulses. More specifically we kept on swapping a set of Pultec clone tube filters, a Clariphonic parallell filter and a set of Rupert Neve Portico 542:s to get every impulse into it’s sweetspot before recording it.
The tempo might and might not, entirely depending on the material sent into it, set boundaries to where the impulses belong. In fact, some files actually find you pockets of niceties in your groove if you really set out to misuse them from tempo perspective. Inherent pitch in the impulses is a different matter. Total alignment in pitch might cause recursive feedback - so watch your speakers - as well as just the right amount of dissonance might sound awesome!
In detail expect to find 98 impulses in 120 bpm, 95 impulses in 124 bpm, 68 impulses in 127 bpm, all in all summing up to 261 impulses, 388 MB of 48 kHz 24 bit wavefiles.
