Review: ValhallaDSP Ubermod – Audio Geek Zine

audiogeekzine.com

Valhalla ÜberMod is a versatile and unique multitap delay and modulation plugin that excels in creating rich choruses, echoes, and reverbs. Its simple interface belies its depth, offering 9 modes inspired by vintage hardware, and it encourages experimentation with presets. While it's not suited for percussive sounds, it shines on synths, strings, and vocals, making it an essential tool for creative sound design. At $50, it's a valuable addition to any producer's toolkit, though it won't replace traditional effects entirely. The review highly recommends it for its unique sound and creative potential.

As for processing I use Fab Filter Pro-Q 2 as my primary equalizer, Camel Audio Camelcrusher and Sugarbytes WOW for distortion, iZotope RX2 and Ozone 6 suites for various purposes, Valhalla shimmer for reverb along with Room and Ubermod for spatializing. Oh and BazzISM and Drumatic for creating drum samples And thanks to Eoin (Noisestorm) I just started using oxford transmod for transient modification."
