Heritage Guitars is an American electric guitar manufacturer based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The company was founded in 1985 by former Gibson employees Jim Deurloo, Marv Lamb, and JP Moats, along with Bill Paige and Mike Korpak, after Gibson relocated most of its production from its historic Parsons Street factory to Nashville. Heritage took over space inside that same 225 Parsons Street building, continuing to build guitars with much of the original tooling and hand-crafted methods used by the Kalamazoo luthiers who preceded them.
The brand is best known for its archtop and semi-hollow electric guitars, including the H-150 (a single-cutaway solidbody in the Les Paul tradition), the H-137, the H-535 semi-hollow, the H-555, the H-575 archtop, and the Eagle Classic. Models are organized across Core, Standard, Standard II, Artisan Aged, and Custom Shop collections, with Plek setups performed in-house. In 2016, the company was acquired by PlazaCorp Realty Advisors, a Kalamazoo-based firm that owns the Parsons Street property, and production remains at the original factory.
Heritage has 81 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Solid Body Electric Guitars, Preamps, and Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitars.
