The ODB-3 can be seen to the left of his Line 6 EX-1.

Kevin Rutmanis mainly plays a custom eric chaz made electric bass guitar. It has a body almost like a hondo Longhorn, and a sparkly green finish. The fret board has decals that read "Shove It". This Longhorn also has forearm relief on the body and a finished headstock. As he prefers, its got two Jumbo g&l MFD pickups.

The 105Q is on the far left of his setup.

Kevin Rutmanis specifically uses the Crowther Audio Prunes & Custard Harmonic Generator Intermodulator, version 1. It is likely that he pairs it with a Crybaby 105Q for tracks like "Little Judas Chongo," you can also hear him using it at the start of "foaming".

Kevin Rutmanis is mistakenly linked to the Boss AW-2 Auto Wah. The source video from Melvins Live in Vilar de Mouros, Portugal, 2003, does not show him using this pedal.

Eric chaz custom orange longhorn made for kevin. this used to have some different pickups but at some point were replaced with g&l jumbo mfd’s.

in the early 2000s Kevin sold at least 2 sun pb-10s as "Melvin's used pb-10s". you can also make out the pb-10s, and occasionally pl20's in videos and photos from 2003-2004 as that is when he started using them live.

this forum link references an old ebay listing. you can also find evidence of this listing on Facebook. Kevin also sold a pb10 to a music store in California circa 2006 which later popped up again on reverb in 2024.
