Wah pedal, without using foot motion.

This wah pedal is okay, you can set it for the sound of the wah, or how much you want the wah to go from bright to dull, it is not the best, because you can't control it yourself, but it is alright.

not "wah"t you'd expect

really more of a flanger than a "real" wah pedal, the aw-2 works as well as you can expect it to, for a boss pedal (which is to say, good and sturdy).

jimmarchi1

it is most definitely a bandpass filter controlled y an LFO rather than a foot treadle, not a flanger which is only related to wah electronically by the LFO utilized to sweep the effect, the flanger producing its signature sound via short delays with a variable delay time that CAN be swept by the LFO (rate knob) simulating 2 out of phase tape decks with a guy slowing one down and letting it catch up erpiodically by touching the 'flanges' of the reels.. I assure you the guts of the AW2 are pretty much a wah pedal, it might not be voiced the way your favorite wah is, but the entire circuit works on the same principle pioneered by Thomas Organ engineers for Vox way back when

in_vested

i meant that it affects the sound in a similar way, rather than making the "wah" noise per each strum/pluck, it does it on a repeat, not that it works in the same way as a flanger or is a flanger. sorry for the misunderstanding, thanks for clearing that up!
