Good enough for Billy Duffy!

Once upon a time I googled what picks Billy Duffy uses. Although his Herco Flex 50's have his iconic stance silk on them, mine are affordable and my constant go to pick! I love the feel of these!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Nothing to tweak!

Saving the world of 9 volt batteries!

Purchase once and you'll never have to worry about needing 9 volt batteries. Unless of course your power goes out, then you'd need something to power your amp too, unless of course that runs on batteries too!!! I like mine, it serves it's purpose well!

Used Delay

Purchased used and it does everything that it should. So much you can do with it. MXR's website has a few settings you can try for giggles. Found my own sound and I love it!

1 knob love

Purchased used! So simple, so fun! Amazing what you can do with just one knob!

Had to have it!

Saw it advertised used on the inter-webs for about half retail and I just had to have it! It has that classic distortion sound to it. I did have the initial problem of getting power to the unit. The 9 volt DC polarity is reversed on the RAT, I use Live Wire Power (AC Adapter), so I had to use a battery plug that could plug directly in the RAT's battery terminal in the compartment. Works like a champ!

It's a Strat!

For the guitar player who wants that classic strat sound without blowing the budget! I had the tremolo setup to float with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings. Stays in tune pretty well. Does everything a strat should do! Mine's in butter cream and I absolutely love it!

TV Jones Classic Plus for some punch!

Replaced stock blacktop pickups on my Gretsch 5420t. Absolutely love these pickups! They are complemented with the TV Classics on the neck.

TV Jones Classic Neck Awesomeness.

Replaced the stock blacktop pickups that came with my Gretsch 5420T. Was a HUGE improvement in output and tone! It's complimented by a TV Jones Classic Plus bridge pickup.

In my constant tinkering with my gear, I noticed the cable was pulling away from the baseplate of my pickup. Still works and sounds amazing! However, me being a bit OCD about my stuff, I reached out to TVJones about it. It took a good week or so before they reached back out to me. They offered to either replace or repair the pickup. I replied with pictures and contact info. It's been another week and I'm waiting to hear back on that.

Power and tone

I'm a bit of a Billy Duffy fan. I read that he uses Power Slinkys, so I loaded them onto my Gretsch. I'm really enjoying them! I had NYXL 10/46s on it before. I like the tone of these much better.

Recent convert.

I've been playing D'Addarios since the 90's. For giggles I tried Slinkys out on my Les Paul and like the way the feel and sound. Perhaps what I'm hearing in my head is a bit different these days!

Used awesomeness at Guitar Center.

The 535Q really is the Swiss army knife of wah pedals. I picked mine up used at Guitar Center for half the retail price. Love it!

Super!

The Super OverDrive is one of those pedals you just gotta have! Love it!

Used and Abused

I purchased mine second hand and could tell it had seen a lot of use. Well, Boss builds some amazing tank of pedals because it still works and is AWESOME! Excellent Chorus pedal! I had a choice between the Chorus Ensemble and the Super Chorus. Glad I went with the Ensemble!

Snark Simplicity

You clamp it to your guitars head-stock, turn it on... and it just works! Works by both vibration and microphone. Mine stopped working via vibration. I emailed the awesome people about it at Snark and before I knew it, I had a brand new replacement sent via mail! Love Snark!

Awesome Tone

Love the warm full tones! Many people compare this to a Tube Screamer. IMO, that's all a matter of taste. This sounds exactly like I want it to!

actually its not much like a tubescreamer internally, whereas the SD1 is 98% the same circuit as a TS9

Love at First Sight

Modded with TV Jones Classic Plus Pickup set and a Tru-Arc stainless bridge. Sounds Amazing!

If it works, don't fix it

Been using Fender medium picks since the day I found my dad's Telecaster. Heh, they work on a Les Paul too!

Fun 3 piece band with a mind of it's own.

You play what ever chord progression you want and it builds percussion and bass line from it. From there you can pick different versions/times that you want. It includes guitar effects and a headphone jack. I prefer my looper which let's me play what I want to play... not what it comes up with.

It's a Sears and Roebuck amplifier!

I love the smell of dust burning off the tubes when I first turn it on. Amazing, It still works and sounds really good!

Matt Daniels knew how to throw an amp together.

Super dooper looper!

Really simple to use! Love the Christmas like lights that make it easy to tell if you're recording to your loop or if you're just playing over top of it.
