GIVEAWAY: Sennheiser HD 25 Headphones (August Submissions)
What about the people that don't see this message, what if some random member gets the prize and he doesn't even know? Do we just wait for a response and respond accordingly?

Musicians who play with distortion with no treble, so It's incredibly loud, but no one can here the actual notes over the drummer or the singer, so all you hear is some kind of controlled feedback that is the guitarist.
I mean, come on, if Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher can make notes and pick slides sound intelligible over all THAT distortion, I'm pretty sure anyone else with an overdrive pedal can.

What's Your Dream Band Line-Up?
California is kinda the same, but only in the big cities. All the smaller neighbourhoods are actually very nice, and the colleges here are top notch.
Except for the high schoolers.
A good chunk of 'em can go to Hell for all I care. But just a chunk.

Aren't Kramer's known for being terrible at staying in tune? From what I know, they're not as good as a Floyd Rose.
Still a HIDEOUS guitar. Ugh.
'Nother pet peeve: Musicians who buy gear, mostly guitars, based solely on aesthetics. Especially prevalent in young musicians, but it still bothers me to know end. I had a friend who wanted to learn guitar (even though she's predominantly a singer, fantastic vocalist, might I say). So, my "teacher", so to say, or the late-20's lead guitarist of our church group brought her to a Guitar Centre. Five minutes in the acoustic section and she pointed out ONE acoustic based on the looks, she described as "girly", and that was it. So, the teacher tested it, thought it was fine, and bought it.
Kind of the same thing as musicians who just want "a guitar that works", and it irks me to no end.
Also, musicians who constantly ask for picks. They're like schoolchildren constantly begging for pencils. Get a pick holder or a tin and store your picks there, come one, people!

oh but the fly plays great in the shred guitar idiom... such a nice instrument if you are into that sort of thing!

shred guitar
I refuse to look at that and see a shred guitar.

Besides the ones I have, there are a few others at church, including this old Applause by Ovation acoustic. It got cracked some time ago, and the pastor just left it with only five strings. Dullest string I'd ever heard. Just finished restringing them with Phosphor Bronze, and they sound phenomenal.

What's Your Dream Band Line-Up?
I remember seeing they're album cover on billboards up near Glendale and past. First time I'd heard of Bad Religion. Not my taste, but still a great band nonetheless.

Jim, I think you're the only one here who has that many guitars, you lucky man.
For everybody else who does not have that many guitars, we keep ours close at hand because we cannot afford more than the few we own.
I'm sure even when I finally finish paying off my student loans, It'll be years until I think it safe to buy a brand new a GOOD guitar without going bankrupt for the month.

Probably one of the most horrid looking guitars I've witnessed thus far, and ridiculously overpriced.

How could anyone not love that D'Angelico headstock? It looks so regal, like it was made for the kings and queens of music, I just love it. EVRYTHING about D'Angelico screams regal, and they certainly know how to make their guitars look miles different from an ES-335 or an Artcore.
But you're right about the Big Two, and it really bothers me. I'm sure people think, "Why get this guitar when this one is more popular?" and think it easier to just buy a Fender or Gibson and I get frustrated because It's NOT better to just go the easier and more popular way because there is such a thing as a diamond in the rough, and if you look hard enough, they're not so ordinary after all!
Wow, second rant for Equipboard. I'll keep count, just in case.

AH... First time I ever joined the band, the vocalist never did shit even though he claimed he wanted to make an ENTIRE ALBUM AND RECORD WITHIN A MONTH'S TIME!
I'll think of a pet peeve later.

What's Your Dream Band Line-Up?
Oh, and the dream line-up...
Singer: Kyo (Dir En Grey)
Kyo, like and unlike Corey Taylor, can mix his his clean and dirty vocals in many different ways as well as being able to switch between the two quite well. I would have chosen Corey, but I believe an American voice would not be ideal for this situation
Lead Guitarist: Akira Yamaoka (He's the guy who did the soundtracks for Silent Hill)
Akira is very famous for his horror recordings, and his solos, while not comparable to something like a Van Halen solo, have the quality that I seek in this band.
Rhythm Guitarist: Jónsi (Sigur Rós)
Jónsi is a favourite of mine. His work with the cello bow makes him an ideal candidate for creating sinister atmospheres that strike anxiety at every moment.
Keyboards: Anders Trentemøller (Trentemøller)
AND
Drums: Trent Reznor (How to Destroy Angels)
Just listen to Welcome Oblivion, then listen to Into the Great Wide Yonder. They're two completely different entities, and that's the best part. When they clash, they'd be so different , yet it would be enough to create something revolutionary!

There should be a system of categorising in everyone's individual equipboard. Just name the category and insert the gear, makes it a lot cleaner, eh?

Nevertheless, the guitars certainly look like they were made with care. Their hollow-bodies and solid-bodies should have been sufficient enough to sweep that market... I'm surprised it hasn't.

Better than seeing a long, vertical row of one profile picture. The variation of different gear is a fantastic touch.
Cons?
http://i.imgur.com/yRIsIsf.png
I think some of the pictures should be changed. No disrespect to the people who review these items, but It's generally better to use a generic image of the gear rather than a photograph of the item on your floor.
Same goes other minorities such as black backgrounds, images that are too small, etc.

From what I heard, they were starting to go under a few years back, but I never heard anything about anyone buying the name. Though the guy who manages the company sounded like he wasn't really doing his job well.
Nevertheless, D'Angelico's name is still really important.

This is the one territory that I'm not familiar with, amps seem quite daunting. Anyways, here's what I THINK I would want in an amp.
It's got to be a combo, I'd never carry around a stack, It's just not worth the effort or money.
Needs a line out because no one bothers with microphones, we just plug straight into the system.
I was hoping it would have a reverb channel, but I can work without it.
Again, something that can handle a combination of heavy reverb and a dirty boost without squealing like a dying animal.
From what I know, Orange makes fantastic amplifiers, but Fender's Hot Rods seem good as well. Unfortunately, past big names, my knowledge of amps stops there.

It has a 30-day return, so I think I might be able to try it out for some time.

I think I said this before but:

http://www.kustom.com/product_detail.aspx?TypeID=2&FamilyID=117&ProductID=229&Tab=0
Those two are already incoming in a few weeks, whilst the lead guitarist is plugged directly to the PA with modifications from our tech. I think he's running a program like Pro Tools, or something of that sort.
I hear Matchless amplifiers are really nice. I got the notion from this guy named Andy Othling, and he uses a Clubman. He also uses a LOT of reverb, and it never does feedback, then again, I don't know how it would handle both reverb and a dirty boost. The Fender Frontman definitely squeals, and it's terrible.

Go to the last photo and look at that pedal board. The tuner's on the far right.
Tell me what model that is, because I am sure that is a TU-2, not the TU-3 as the Premier Guitar says.

"driven by a desire for fame and money become an evangelist or a vulture capitalist.
Isn't this an oxymoron? An evangelist does the opposite, he's just a widespread pastor.
Sorry mate, but Reeves is a capitalist himself, you might as well be Tom Morello.
