Nita Strauss

In this video, Nita Strauss's rig consists of the Boss GT-1000 going direct to the front of house. Also mentioned as a live pedalboard in a 2022 Premier Guitar interview:

“Live, for my solo band, I use a BOSS GT-1000 pedalboard,” she says. “But for my session work, it’s my Kempers, and the majority of the record is the same tones you hear onstage with the Kemper. Funny enough, it’s modeled from my previous processor, which is a Rocktron Prophesy. It’s not modeled from any amp in particular. It’s just pinched, pulled, massaged, and tweaked to be my own tone. When I switched over to Kemper, I couldn’t find anything I liked as much, so I hooked up the modeling software and modeled my processor. And it’s my signature Ibanez JIVAs across the board—all the gigs, all the time.”

Strauss' signature model, released in 2020 by Ibanez. It is a Strauss' third signature guitar done with Ibanez.

So this is the flaggship, you know... The most premier product, it's the Jiva X.

In this demo, Strauss shows the capabilities of the amp and it's integration with a smart phone.

Nita Strauss mentions that before the GT-1000, she used to have the GT-10 and the GT-100 before getting the latest model.

"Alex from the Ibanez Custom Shop completely re-did this for me, I don't know if you can zoom in on the neck, it's kind of hard to see, but all the finish that is on the back, you can see where it was there and there, the finish is gone" - Nita at 24:00 in this video.

"Next in line is Strauss’ Ibanez S5470FDSH Prestige. The three-pickup configuration includes a DiMarzio Gravity Storm in the bridge and neck positions and a DiMarzio True Velvet single-coil in the middle slot." - Premier Guitar. This guitar can be seen at 27:58.

"This really gave me a lot of different options, there's very classic high gain tone, very modern punchy leads, and it's MIDI switchable" - Nita at 33:40 of this "Rig Rundown".

32:24 Nita mentions that she has a Rocktron Utopia Expression Pedal on her board but she rarely uses it.

Nita shows us her rack unit in this video at 33:33. You can see that she uses a Rocktron Prophesy II.

When asked about her live setup for the Alice Cooper tour, Strauss said "I'll be using Blackstar Series One EL34 heads. I picked those because they have a really classic sound."

At 25:29 Nita says that in the bridge of her RG320Z is a Dimarzio D Activator Bridge Pickup.

When touring with Alice Cooper, Strauss uses a G-Force for most of her effects, as it is simple and effective.

It is her signature guitar by Ibanez.
