Brian Fallon's Amplifiers
4:13 Brian Fallon says that the title for "The 59 Sound" came from the name of an amp he worked on called a 59 Bassman.
Fallon’s main amp is a very Vox-like JMI AM 15 T with a JMI Celestion speaker.
On the electric side, he turned to his Telecaster and a simple setup that helped to bring the whole thing together as a single piece: a Tube Screamer, a Fulltone Solid State Tape Echo, and a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp.
Brian Fallon's recent Instagram post standing in front of the Metropoulos amp head. "Finally getting to my gear demos! I’m starting out with humbucker pickup sets. I’m doing a bunch that I think are great companies. Nothing flashy, just a few chords, few tiny licks, and the same guitar and amp. Be back shortly... update: the shirt is available @russomusicnj"
In this Premier Guitar Rig Rundown, the Chris Stapleton Princeton is mentioned.
In this Instagram post from the official Orange account, Brian is said to be using an Orange Custom Shop 50 in the studio.
Fallon owned and used at least two EC Twinoluxes on tour with The Gaslight Anthem. One was sold via eBay circa 2014, while the other—according this June 4, 2022 Instagram post by Ed Auletta of Ed's Guitar Repair—was given Auletta by Fallon circa 2017 in a broken state. Auletta repaired it and sent it to a new home at North End Recording, which now lists the EC Twinolux on its Equipment list.
The EC Tremolux was mentioned by Fallon himself in a January 30, 2013 post on his Tumblr blog, while UberProAudio user Bumper noted it earlier in a November 8, 2012 comment. Fender's official online product page for the EC Tremolux also listed The Gaslight Anthem among the artists using it.

On the latest TGA euro tour Brian got a Eric Clapton signature twinolux and his new Penn as a back up amp. No Teles. He switched between the goldtop and the LP traditional.
Brian Fallon, "Brian’s Guitar Rig…" (January 30, 2013)
Someone asked me about my guitar rig recently, so here it is… Now, this changes ALL the time, so it’s different from tour to tour, sometimes from show to show. I like to try new stuff and keep revolving things in and out.
There’s a few things missing… for shows we use a Fender Eric Clapton Twinolux set to half power with this 1956 Fender Deluxe shown here.
Sometimes the Deluxe gets replaced with a Penn Amp Tremlux built by Billy Penn at 300 Guitars.
They’re both on all the time and they run just on the clean side of dirty.

About 4/5 years ago, @thebrianfallon gave me this beautiful but broken amp. The bracket that holds the choke broke. It fell and ripped the wires out. Being a pretty rare and specific amp (only 2500) made. It was almost impossible to get an exact replacement part. So it sat until I found @antfarmmusic true magicians over there. Now this all original Eric Clapton Fender Twinolux will be gracing the studio at @northendrecording The sound is indescribable.
Hand wired, Mercury transformers, Alnico magnets and Weber/Eminence speakers. 🤤
