Chris Carrabba's Guitars
"For acoustics, Carrabba goes with his beloved and beaten 1970 Martin 0-18 and his 2014 custom-made Martin 00-18 with 3-piece back. The acoustics are strung up with D’Addario EJ17 strings and Carrabba prefers Dunlop Shell Plastic thumb picks and Paige capos," reads this Premier Guitar rig rundown.
"The model I play for acoustics is the J-185. I love it. I’ve been toying with maybe switching with the Emmylou Harris. I’d like to eventually change. But basically the guitars - I have five of the J-185s. They all sound drastically different. Maybe it’s the wood, it just happens. They sound to most people probably the same. Like the warmest one, I use for my open tunings. They all have different personalities." [http://archive.is/0iAp3#selection-513.82-525.239]
