Dwayne Goettel's Keyboards and Synthesizers
Dwayne Goettel (left) in the studio in the early 90's. The bottom one of the three stacked synths beside him appears to be a Yamaha SY77.
This photo shows Dwayne Goettel (left) in the studio. The middle keyboard on his right is a Kurzweil K2000. The photo was presumably taken in the early 90's.
In this photo Dwayne is standing behind 2 keyboards, the lower one is clearly an Emu Emax. I can't see if its an SE or HD version because the higher efinition model is dientical to the SE apart from the letters 'HD' instead of 'SE' next to the Emax logo.
In this photo it shows Dwayne Goettel in their studio with an Ensoniq ESQ-1, Ensoniq Mirage, E-Mu EMAX, Akai S900. There is an effects rack with a Lexicon PCM 41, a pair of Korg SDD-1000s. In the background is an Atari 1040ST running Steinberg Pro 24 sequencing software.
In the 1987 live performance of "Assimilate" by Skinny Puppy, Dwayne Goettel is not using the Sequential Circuits Prophet-10. Instead, a Sequential Circuits Pro-One is visible on stage, positioned atop another piece of gear.
Photo of Dwayne playing a Prophet-5 during the Too Dark Park tour 1990. You can find this moment captured on video as well, but the quality makes it hard to determine what synth he is using (2:48). https://youtu.be/StirU6YyMg0
Dwayne Goettel (left) in the studio during the recording of Download's album 'Furnace Re:Dux'(specifically the tracks labelled Re:Dux Parts 1-8). One of the three racked keyboards he uses is a Minimoog.
Goettel lists his gear in this interview.
A fully rigged S1000, SY77, SY22, Prophet E max, cEvin has a full drum kit with an E-max too and he's got some radio's hooked up to gates and triggers and then he got a little smaller kit.
