FINNEAS' Gear
When initially working together, a period that included the production of songs such as “Ocean Eyes,” “Six Feet Under” and “Bellyache,” O’Connell used an Audio-Technica AT2020 cardioid condenser mic on his sister’s vocals. More recently, he has been using a Neumann TLM 103 large diaphragm mic. “I recommend the TLM 103 to anyone; it’s such a good microphone.”
FINNEAS uses the Neumann TLM 103 condenser microphone to record Billie Eilish, as seen in the first clip of the video featured on Equipboard.
All of the sounds on 'Ocean Eyes' were Logic stock sounds, which I tweaked a bit with EQ and layered. Now I have quite a few plug-ins, but honestly, I still feel like being very minimalist in my approach. The three plug-ins for sounds that I used the most on Billie's album are Spectrasonics Omnisphere, Keyscape and Trillion. They are very good plug-ins. Keyscape is amazing. I could not talk enough about how much I like that.
Finneas says how he has upgraded from the TLM-103 to a more expensive a higher quality Chandler Limited REDD Microphone.
At 0:45 Finneas mentions his use of Logic Pro X

In the video at 4:37, FINNEAS is seen praising this headphone's use as a 'primary source of reference mixing headphones'.
"This is no humblebrag bedroom studio that turns out to have been professionally outfitted. It’s just a regular bedroom, with a bed against one wall, where Eilish sat to record her vocals, facing a desk and bookshelves and O’Connell’s modest production setup: Apple Logic Pro X, a Universal Audio Apollo 8 interface and a pair of Yamaha HS5 nearfields with an H8S subwoofer. O’Connell, who turns 22 in July, has since moved out, setting up a duplicate, slightly upgraded collection of gear at his new home, including a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors and an Apollo X."
While Finneas' and Eilish's music became more and more minimalist over time, Finneas' studio setup was minimalist from day one. "I moved to my own house early this year, and now work from a room there, but my setup is still pretty much the same as when we did 'Ocean Eyes'. I still use Logic, and at the time I had the Roland Quad Capture interface, a set of Yamaha HS5 monitors with a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer, and an Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone, which cost $80.
For Eilish’s productions, he has always used virtual instruments, such as Keyscape by Spectrasonics. “It’s amazing, especially the Dark Indie upright pianos. My piano in my parents’ room is not situated well for recording. It’s more fun to write on it, then record on a MIDI keyboard, especially because I like tweaking MIDI parts, changing and perfecting them.”
"His current favorites are Universal Audio’s Antares Auto-Tune Realtime. Its no-latency is a creative writing tool for unusual synth parts; and RC-20 Retro Color for granulation and emulation of vinyl crackle for its processing style."
In a user-uploaded photo, FINNEAS is seen using IK Multimedia T-RackS 5 SE in his effects chain.
In this Tweet, Finneas says he uses the Fab Filter Twin on almost all his productions.
In this Tweet, Finneas says he uses 808 Studio II by Initial Audio on almost all his productions.
At 33:18 , During his interview on Pensado's place, he mentions he uses Little Alterboy, among many other plugins, in his productions.
Below the Furman M-8Dx Power Conditioner and above the Apollo 8 Interface, you can see that FINNEAS uses a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 in his rack systems.
In the above video you can clearly see FL Studio's icon (which is the 8th app. from the left side in the bottom panel) in the monitor which is connected to FINNEAS' laptop.

0:19 you can see that he has MXR M80 Bass preamp as he is the bass player in Billie Eilish band.
He bought it in Summer of 2019 in the Guitar Center in front of Berkley College of Music in Boston Guitar made for a collaboration between Disney's Coco and Córdoba guitars.
At 0:19 you can see, by design, the OP-1 in a plastic case sitting on a desk.
Finneas appears to be playing a Wurlitzer 200A Electric Piano because of the music rack, alluminium faceplate and the written part on it.

During This Video You can see that Finneas has the Komplete Kontrol S88 set up to the left of his computer set up.
He used it again for Lollapalooza 2019 in Berlin, where I saw it again. He uses it as „bass shaker“ during live on stage, for better feel.

At around 16:05, Finneas says that his rack for live shows includes a Nord Stage 3. It is unclear whether or not he uses the 88 or 76 key version. At 16:13, he says that it's "always [on] a grand piano because it's just got such good hammer action," which is great, since Billie's songs usually include a piano.
In Claudia Sulewski’s (Finneas’ girlfriend) recent vlog she showed all of the gear they took from Finneas studio and in this picture, a Vox AC30 can be visible in the bottom along with other gear
He uses MacBook Pro for production with Billie Eilish.
In this YouTube video you can see FINNEAS is singing the sE Electronics V7. He uses this microphones on every live concert. He and his sister Billie also artists of sE Electronics. So this microphone loves their FOH engineer too.
