Geordie Greep's Guitars
In this photo you can see Greep using a Reverend Descent RA Baritone guitar.
Geordie Greep plays a Fret-King Elise, tuned to standard, during Black Midi's performance of "Message In A Bottle" in Newcastle upon Tyne, February 2020. This setup is also used for their songs "Nylon" and "JB," as seen in a YouTube video by Chris Trew.
Geordie played a white Stratocaster during Black Midi, New Road's cover of Step Into Christmas.
Yamaha SA60 is visible throughout John L, and from 5:13 onwards Geordie switches to it and uses it throughout the rest of the setlist. This replaced his Fret King sometime during the recording of Cavalcade in Dublin, as he was also pictured with it there.
He used a Mustang on Chondromalacia Patella and Slow as seen on the performing credits of Cavalcade.
Geordie Greep is depicted using the Gretsch Spectra Sonic Baritone in a photo by Oliver Barrett on Flickr, associated with the song "Western" from Black Midi's vinyl release.
Geordie Greep can be seen using this guitar at various points on their most recent tour (as of 10 Jun 2023). In this video it can most clearly be seen at 18:21

Geordie Greep can be seen using the Eastman Guitars E1D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar - Natural throughout the entire set in the video titled "Geordie Greep - Full Acoustic Solo Set - MAP Studio Residency - 14/08/24" on YouTube, uploaded by Amy.
In an interview with Guitar.com, Geordie Greep stated, "There was a lot of that in this album, to get the distortion in a way that was cleaner and more impactful. I was using a Gibson SG [a Custom Shop model from 2000, he later clarifies] mostly, and I was using that guitar the most for live shows." The single pickguard design of his SG indicates it is a Custom Shop Reissue of the 1961 model, from the year 2000.
In an interview with Guitar World, Geordie Greep mentions using a Gibson SG Faded, stating: "The SA-60 was joined by Greep’s Mexican Stratocaster and a Gibson SG Faded, but he wasn’t satisfied with either. 'The Strat feels really nice to play but it doesn’t sound that great,' he says, 'and the pickups are actually great in the SG but it never stays in tune.'"
In an Instagram post by Geordie Greep (@emperorgreep), a Gibson ES-175 is visible in the fourth slide.
